Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, okçuluk branşıyla ilgilenen sporcularda denetim odağı kavramını derinlemesine incelemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, kartopu örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen ve elit düzeyde performans sergileyen yaşları 18 ile 23 arasında değişen 7 kadın 6 erkek olmak üzere toplam 13 milli takım klasik yay sporcusundan oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama yöntemi olarak, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak“yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi”kullanılmıştır. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler ATLAS.ti bilgisayar programı kullanılarak betimsel analiz yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler değerlendirildiğinde okçuların başarı ve başarısızlık durumlarında farklı denetim odaklarına sahip oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Katılımcıların başarı durumlarında denetim odaklarının genellikle içsel denetim odağına yöneldiği; bu kapsamda disiplin, çaba, odaklanma ve özgüven kodlarının öne çıktığı belirlenmiştir. Başarısızlık durumunda ise performanslarını tecrübe eksikliği ve özgüven eksikliği gibi içsel faktörlerin yanı sıra; şanssızlık, rakiplerin yüksek performansı ve çevresel koşullar gibi dışsal faktörlere atfetme eğiliminde oldukları görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda, sporcuların motivasyon, öz yeterlik ve performans sürekliliğini artırmak amacıyla zihinsel hazır oluş süreçlerinin desteklenmesi ve denetim odağı farkındalığının geliştirilmesinde spor paydaşlarının destekleyici uygulamalar geliştirmesi önerilmektedir.

The aim of this study is to examine in depth the concept of control focus among athletes involved in archery. The study employed the case study design, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group comprised a total of 13 national team classical bow archers—7 women and 6 men, aged between 18 and 23, who demonstrated elite-level performance—selected using snowball sampling. The 'face-to-face interview method' was employed, using a semi-structured interview form as the data collection method. The data obtained from the interviews were analysed using descriptive analysis with the ATLAS.ti software programme. An analysis of the data obtained from the study revealed that archers exhibit different locus of control in situations of success and failure. It was found that, in situations of success, participants' locus of control generally shifted towards an internal locus of control; in this context, the themes of discipline, effort, concentration and self-confidence were identified as prominent. In situations of failure, however, it was observed that they tended to attribute their performance to both internal factors, such as lack of experience and low self-confidence, and external factors, such as bad luck, high performance by opponents and environmental conditions. Accordingly, it is recommended that sports stakeholders develop supportive practices to foster mental preparation processes and enhance awareness of control focus, with the aim of improving athletes' motivation, self-efficacy and performance consistency.
