Özet
Yapılan çalışmanın temel amacı IVF tedavisinden başarısız sonuç alan bireylerin depresyon belirtileri geliştirme olasılığını incelemektir. Ayrıca algılanan stres ve çevreden alınan sosyal desteğin bu süreci nasıl etkilediği tartışılacaktır. Bununla birlikte psikolojik sonuçlara da dikkat çekilecektir. Çalışmanın evrenini Vita Altera IVF Center'a embriyo transferi için başvuran bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklem grubu ise, bu hastalar arasından seçilmiştir. 18-45 aralığındaki Türk hastalarla çalışılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 104'ü kadın 102'si erkek olmak üzere 206 kişi çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada veri toplayabilmek amacıyla Demografik Bilgi Formu, Beck Depresyon Envanteri (BDE), Algılanan Stres Ölçeği (Perceived Stress Scale) ve Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (ÇBASDÖ) kullanılmıştır. Ölçek puanlarının normal dağılmadığı gözlenmiştir ve bu kapsamda nonparametrik testler kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, kadınların depresyon düzeyi erkeklere göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Ayrıca cinsiyet farketmeksizin BHCG sonucu negatif olan bireylerin depreyon düzeyleri daha yüksek olarak bulunmuştur. Yürütülen çalışmada bulunan sonuçlar kuramsal ve kavramsal çerçevede tartışılmış ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The main aim of this study is to examine the likelihood of individuals who receive unsuccessful results from IVF treatment developing symptoms of depression. In addition, the study discusses how perceived stress and social support received from the environment influence this process. Furthermore, attention is given to the psychological outcomes associated with IVF treatment failure. The population of the study consists of individuals who applied to Vita Altera IVF Center for embryo transfer. The sample group was selected from among these patients. The study was conducted with Turkish patients between the ages of 18 and 45. In line with this purpose, a total of 206 participants were included in the study, consisting of 104 women and 102 men. In order to collect data, the Demographic Information Form, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) were used. It was observed that the scale scores did not follow a normal distribution; therefore, non-parametric tests were used. According to the research findings, women were found to have higher levels of depression compared to men. Additionally, regardless of gender, individuals with negative BHCG results were found to have higher levels of depression. The results obtained in the study were discussed within a theoretical and conceptual framework, and several recommendations were presented.
