Özet
MÖ 4. ve 3. binyılda Konya Havzası'nın Seramik Ekolojisi Bağlamında Sosyo- Kültürel Gelişimi başlıklı bu tez, Konya Ovası'ndaki sosyo-politik ve çevresel süreçlerin anlaşılmasına yönelik olarak Konya Bölgesel Arkeolojik Araştırma Projesi (KRASP) kapsamında elde edilen seramik materyalini temel almaktadır. Çalışma Konya Ovası'ndaki (Çumra ve Karatay ilçeleri) Geç Kalkolitik Dönem (GKD) ve Erken Tunç Çağı (ETÇ) yerleşmelerine ait seramik materyalini inceleyerek, bölgedeki toplulukların üretim tekniklerini ortaya koymuştur. Tezin temel amacı, bu dönem topluluklarının seramik üretim süreçlerini ve bu süreçte doğal çevreyi nasıl kullandıklarını araştırmaktır. Çalışmada, seramik materyalinin analizi için Seramik Ekolojisi Yaklaşımı ile Üretim Zinciri (Chaîne Opératoire) Analizi yöntemlerini birleştiren bütünsel bir metodoloji önerilmiştir. Bu metodoloji, LA ICP-MS, İnce Kesit (Petrografi) ve FTIR gibi arkeometrik analizlerle desteklenmiştir. Analizler, seramik üretiminin hammaddeden nihai ürüne kadar olan aşamalarına odaklanmıştır. Kısacası, bu çalışma, Konya Ovası'ndaki GKD ve ETÇ topluluklarının seramik üretimini yalnızca teknik bir faaliyet olarak değil; doğal çevre, toplumsal örgütlenme, ekonomik stratejiler ve kültürel süreklilik bağlamlarında şekillenen bütüncül bir süreç olarak ele alarak seramik üretimi aracılığıyla bölgenin sosyo-kültürel gelişimini yeniden değerlendirmiştir.

This thesis, entitled“Socio-Cultural Development of the Konya Basin in the Context of Ceramic Ecology in the 4th and 3rd Millennium BC”, is based on ceramic materials recovered within the framework of the Konya Regional Archaeological Research Project (KRASP). Its primary objective is to elucidate the socio-political and environmental trajectories that shaped communities in the Konya Plain. Focusing on ceramic assemblages from the Late Chalcolithic Period (LCP) and the Early Bronze Age (EBA) in the Çumra and Karatay districts, the study aims to reveal the production techniques employed by the region's inhabitants and to understand how they interacted with and utilized their natural environment in the course of ceramic production. The research adopts a comprehensive methodological framework that integrates the Ceramic Ecology Approach with Production Chain (Chaîne Opératoire) analysis. This combined approach is supported by archaeometric methods, including LA-ICP-MS, thin-section petrography, and FTIR spectroscopy. These analyses address multiple stages of the ceramic production sequence—from the procurement of raw materials to the manufacture of finished vessels—allowing for a detailed reconstruction of technological choices and operational practices. In sum, the study offers a reinterpretation of the socio-cultural development of the Konya Basin by viewing the ceramic production of LCP and EBA communities not merely as a set of technical procedures, but as a holistic process embedded within environmental conditions, social organization, economic strategies, and enduring cultural traditions.
