Özet
ÖZET Bu tezin yazılmasındaki temel amaç, ileriyi gören ve sanatın vazgeçilmezliğini savunan Atatürk'ün teşvikiyle kazandığımız opera sanatının, yüzyılımızdaki durumunu ve ülkemizdeki yerini göstermeye çalışmaktır Bir sahne sanatı olan operanın, diğer sanatlarla nasıl iç içe olduğu,özellikle dram sanatından nasıl faydalandığını göstermek için, günümüzün çok gerilerine dönüp bakmak, yepyeni ve ilerici bir bakış açısının kaynaklarını araştırırken, bir sistemin, bir üslubun gelişmesindeki öğelerin nedenlerini kavramak bakımından çok daha gerilere, operanın tarihsel gelişimine inmek kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Bu nedenle, sahne sanatlarının başlangıcından itibaren, birlik içinde doğup, sonra kendi karakteristiklerini oluşturarak ayrı birer dal olmaları incelenmiş, opera sanatının da özellikle dram sanatıyla iç içe oluşu vurgulanmak istenmiştir. Perde açılmadan önce müzik, işlenen konunun ruhunu vermektedir ilk olarak. Perde açıldığında ise, Dekor ve ışık buna destek verir. Kişilerin sahnedeki jest ve mimikleriyle, oyunculuk güçleriyle üstlendikleri rolleri canlandırmaları, söyledikleri partisyonların seyirciye en etkileyici, en inandırıcı şekilde ulaşmalarını sağlamaktadır. Akıl ve sanatsal bilinçle yaratılmış sahne kurgusu ve mizansenler, olağanüstü bir yapılandırma sağlamlığım ve öğelerin birbiri içinde varolabilmeleri için, harç görevini üstlenmektedir. İşte bu doğrultuda, operadaki oyunculuk ve sahnelemenin vazgeçilmezliği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu konuda yazılmış kaynak, yeteri kadar bulunamadığı için, dram sanatıyla birlikte opera literatürü incelenerek, konumuz için gerekli bilgiler toplanmaya, birbiriyle kıyaslanarak amaca ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır.Ülkemizdeki opera sanatının durumu, işlenişi ve yapılması gerekenler ise, çok değerli sanatçı öğretmenlerimizin bilgilerine danışarak derlenmeye çalışılmıştır.

Ill SUMMARY The main goal in writing this thesis is to show the development of opera in Turkey and the level it has achieved today. We owe this art form to the forthseeing supreme Turkish leader Atatürk's support who has always defended the extreme importance of art. In order to understand the performing art of opera, its interaction with other art forms and to cover how it has been affected by drama over the centuries, its inevitable to look back in history to the development period of opera to search for the sources of new and progressive thinking and to look for the reasons leading to elements that has contributed in developing the system and individuality of the art form. Due to this reason, the thesis has covered how the performing arts has started as one and how they formed their own characteristics becoming a separate art, and at the same time tried to point out the fact that opera and drama are interconnected. Before the curtain opens, first the music starts to reflect the soul of the theme. As the curtain rises the lighting and set supports this theme. Performing the role of the character with gestures, mimicks and performance capacities, enables the audience to feel the partitions that are sung more closely. Choreography and staging created with intelligence and artistic conscience, consistency of the story along with the coherency of the elements within the story binds the whole stage performance together. As enough source has not been found about this subject, literature about drama has been covered along with opera literature in order to determine the information needed and they have been compared to reach the main goal.IV The present state of opera in our country, how its covered and the things that must be done to improve it has been gathered by the help of the valuable opinions of our art school teachers.
