Özet
Kur'an-ı Kerim, İslam'ın merkezi metni ve İslami geleneğin temel kaynağıdır. Tefsir ilmi ise ilahi mesajı açıklama çabasıdır ve Hz. Peygamber (s.a.v.) ile başlayarak günümüze kadar devam etmektedir. Günümüzde farklı yöntem ve yaklaşımlara sahip çeşitli tefsirler bulunmaktadır. Nabulsi'nin tefsiri de modern dönem tefsirlerinden biri olup geleneksel ve çağdaş unsurları bir araya getirmesiyle öne çıkmaktadır. Bu tez, Nābulsī'nin tefsir metodolojisini incelemekte ve Kehf Suresi özelinde bir değerlendirme yapmaktadır; zira bir yüksek lisans tezinin kapsamı, müfessirin bütün tefsirini ele almaya yetmemektedir. Kehf Suresi'ne dair yaptığı tefsirin detaylı bir şekilde incelenmesi sonucunda, Nābulusī'nin Kur'an'ın mesajını aktarmak için çeşitli yöntemler kullandığı görülmektedir. Onun tefsirinin en belirgin özelliği, hem genel okuyucuya hem de alimlere hitap eden sade bir dil, hikayeler ve günlük hayattan örnekler kullanmasıdır. Ayrıca, İsrailiyyat'ı (Yahudi-Hristiyan kaynaklı rivayetler) minimize ederken, bilimsel araştırma ve keşiflerden de yararlanmaktadır. Tefsir bil-ma'sûr (nakle dayalı tefsir) yöntemini kullanmakla birlikte, Kur'an'ı dinamik ve güncel bir şekilde anlamlandırmayı hedeflemektedir. Dolayısıyla, Nābulsī'nin metodolojisi, geleneksel ve modern tefsir yaklaşımlarını birleştirerek, Kur'an'ın evrensel mesajını canlı ve etkili bir şekilde sunmaktadır.

The Quran is the central text of Islam and the foundation of Islamic tradition. Tafsir, the exegesis of the Quran, represents an effort to elucidate the divine message, beginning with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and continuing to the present day. Contemporary tafsir works employ diverse methodologies and approaches. Among them, the tafsir of Dr. Muhammad Ratib al-Nabulsi, which stands out as a modern interpretation that integrates both traditional and contemporary elements. This thesis examines al-Nabulsi's tafsir methodology, with a focused analysis on his exegesis of Surah al-Kahf—a chapter renowned for its rich narratives and theological depth. Given the limits of a master's thesis, this study does not encompass his entire tafsir but instead offers an in-depth exploration of his interpretive techniques within this surah as a representative case. Through a systematic assessment of al-Nabulsi's commentary, this research identifies key characteristics of his methodology: (1) linguistic and rhetorical analysis rooted in classical Arabic tradition, (2) incorporation of Sufi-inspired spiritual insights, (3) avoidance of superfluous Israiliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) while retaining reliance on sound transmitted reports (tafsir bil-ma'thur), (4) engagement with rational and philosophical perspectives (tafsir bil-ra'y), and (5) contextualization of Quranic teachings through parables and contemporary analogies to enhance accessibility. Notably, al-Nabulsi's tafsir bridges scholarly rigor with public comprehension, employing a simple style that addresses both specialists and lay readers. Furthermore, his occasional references to cosmological and scientific observations reflect a modern intellectual interest, though not in the empiricist sense of later scientific tafsir. The findings suggest that al-Nabulsi's methodology challenges rigid categorization, as it harmonizes traditionalist, mystical, and scientific strands of interpretation. By situating his work within the broader history of tafsir, this study contributes to ongoing scholarly discussions on the diversity of Quranic exegesis and the adaptability of classical methodologies to changing contexts.
