ÖZET BURSA' DA KENTSEL BİR DOKUNUN YENİDEN YAPILANMASI KARA, Hilâl Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Mimar lxk Tez Yöneticisi : Öğr.Gör.Ali CENGİZKAN Mayıs 1990, 120 Sahife Kentsel değişim süreci içerisinde, kentsel alanlarda uzun yıllar süre since oluşan mekansal yapılar ve toplumsal modeller, ilerleme ve modern komforu sağlamak adına uygulanan yıkımcı - genişlemeci kent leşme politikacıyla yok edilmektedir. Halbuki kentin özel karak-ceri- nin, mekansal ve sosyal kimliğinin korunması için mevcut kentsel, dokunun sürekliliğinin sağlanması ve yeni yaşam tarzının taleplerine adapte edilmesi gerekir. Bu tez çalışması Bursa 'da terini bir kentsel çevrenin yakın çevresine ve kente yeniden entegrasyonun sağlanması problemini ele almaktadır. İlk bölüm çalışmanın amaç ve yaklaşımını ortaya koymaktadır. İkinci bölüm problemin genel çerçevesini tanımlamak amacıyla Bursa 'nın kentsel karakterini belirleyen bilgileri derlemektedir. - ıııÜçüncü bölümde çalışma alanının kent dokusu içerisindeki durumu değerlendirilmektedir. Son bölümde ise problem değişik ölçeklerde tanımlanarak bir öneri geliştirilmektedir.

ABSTRACT RESTRUCTURING OF AN URBAN PATTERN IN BURSA KARA, Hilâl M.S. in Architecture Supervisor : Inst. Ali CENGİZKAN May 1990, 120 pages During the process of urban metamorphosis, the spatial fabric and patterns of society, built up over many years in urban areas, have been destroyed in the name of progress and modern comfort by the demolition-expansion policy of city-making. However, in order to preserve the spatial and social identity and individual character of the city, the continuity of existing urban fabric and its adaptation to the new demands of life should be provided »Within the scope of this criteria, this study presents a contextualist and analitic approach to the problem of reintegration of a specific historic urban segment in Bursa to its immediate surroundings and to the city- After introducing the aims and the promises of the study in the first chapter, in order to define the general context to the problem, - i -information about the urban character of Bursa is given in the second chapter. In the third chapter, the existing situation of the study area within the city pattern is investigated- In the fourth chapter, the problem is defined at different levels of urban scale and a proposal is presented.
