Özet
Sokrates ile başlayıp Platon ile devam eden süreçte sadece görünen figürler, şekiller değil de insanın ruh durumuna yönelik izlenimlerin, onun değişik duygusal hallerinin yansıtılması gerekliliğinin beklentisi ve ifade edilmesi, kuşkusuz sanatın zamanla evirileceği yönü daha Antik Çağ'dan belirlemekteydi. O dönemdeki sanatçıların bu durumun gerçekleştirilebilmesi için sanat adına bu altyapıyı, bir bakıma gelecek dönemler için bu eskizi oluşturdukları ve misyonlarını bu şekilde tamamladıkları görülmektedir. Sanat kuramlarının temel taşı olarak sayabileceğimiz mimesis ortaya çıktığı dönemde; sanat dış dünyadan hareketle icra edilmekteydi. Fakat zaman, mekân ve insan değişmiş ve ekspresyonizm ile zamanında taklit edilen dış dünyadan kaçar olmuş insan ve iç dünyasına yönelmiştir. Sanatın aldığı bu yolculuk dikkat çekici bulunmuş ve bu nedenle mimesis ve ekspresyonizm araştırma konusu olarak tercih edilmiştir. Söz konusu araştırmada bu yolculuğa ışık tutulmaya çalışılmaktadır.

Beginning with Socrates and continuing with Plato, the expectation and expression of the necessity of reflecting not only the visible figures and shapes, but also the impressions of the human mood, and different emotional states, undoubtedly determined the direction in which art would evolve over time, from the Antiquity. It is seen that the artists of that period created this infrastructure for the sake of art, in a way this sketch for future periods, and completed their mission in this way in order to realize this situation. In the period when mimesis emerged as the corner stone of art theories; art was performed from the outside world. But time, space and human beings have changed, and people fled from the outside world imitated in time with expressionism and turned to the iner world. The journey which Art has been gone through has been found interesting and therefore mimesis and expressionism were preferred as research subjects. In this study, it is tried to shed light on this journey.
