Özet (Çeviri)

Works written in Göktürk (runic) script are priceless for Turkish language, literature and culture. Runic monuments realized around Yenisey and put forward for scientific appreciation by N. G. Spafariy, a traveler and ambassador, in 1675. These monuments though 300 years have passed, still attracts the scientific world. Usage area of Göktürk (runic) script starts with Lena river from Mongolia, flows through Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, comes to Caucasus region, from there into the heart of East Europe, spreads in Romania and Hungary to a large vicinity. The region we deal with in our research is, for today's borders; a region within the legal boundaries of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and is near North Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan and Fergana. Sixty-seven inscriptions have been detected in this region. Even though many of the inscriptions found in Kyrgyzstan were engraved on rocks, many of that found in Kazakstan were on household goods as mirrors, plates, and most of that found in Fergana valley were drawn on large jars and pitchers. Researchers like A. Amanjolov, A. M. Şçerbak, A. N. Bernştam, Çetin Cumagulov, D. D. Vasilyev, G. Aydarov, G. Musabayev, H. N. Orkun, Î. A. Batmanov, M. E. Masson, S. E. Malov, S. G. Klyaştornıy, Y. A. Zadneprovskiy made valuable investigations on nearly 70 inscriptions found in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Among those, A. S. Amajolov's Tyurkskaya runiçeskaya grafika, II; Babalar sözü,; Türki filologiyası jane jazuv tarihi, Ç. C. Cumagolov's Epigrafika Kirgizii I, II, III; Î. A. Batmanov's Talasskiye drevnetyurkskiye pamyatniki; Y. A. Zadneprovskiy' s“Tyurkskiye pamyatniki v Fergane”; A. N. Bernştam's“Novıye epigrafiçeskiye nahodki iz Semireçya”;“Drevnetyurkskiye runiçeskiye nadpisi iz Fergani”are the ones that should primarily be mentioned. We have prepared a catalog of nearly seventy inscriptions found within the borders of today's Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In the sorting of the inscriptions of which we have made the catalog, we based on the sorting of D. D. Vasilyev's following books and articles:“Pamyatniki tyurkskoy runiçeskoy pismannosti aiatskogo areala”(Sovyetskaya Tyurkologiya, 1976/1) and Grafiçeskiy fond pamyatnikov tyurkskoy runiçeskoy pismennosti azitskogo areola, (M. 1983) and Y. A. Zadneprovskiy's 'Tyurksiye pamyatniki v Fergane" (Sovyetskaya Arheologiya, 1967/1). In our catalog, we have given firstly each inscription's name, date of founding, place of founding, the one who found, type, variety and color, measures: a) monument: -b) inscription:, number of lines (characters), type of orthography, place kept, the ones who worked on and explanations. Secondly, we have given the transliteration, transcription and translation of the texts. In transliteration, transcription and translation, we based on the works of Ç. Cumagulov and A. Amanjolov. After transliteration, transcription and translation, we have given a glossary containing vocabularies of all inscriptions. Since transliteration is given in () in the glossary, the main entries are given without transcription. We have added at the end of our work, pictures or images of the inscriptions and maps showing where the inscriptions were found. I would like to thank to my advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. özcan Tabaklar for his help in preparation and especially to Prof. Dr. Osman F. Sertkaya for being so benevolent in all stages of my master thesis Göktürk Inscriptions in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan and Uzbekistan (Description, Transliteration, Transcription, Translation and Glossary).
