Özet
ÖZET Yüksek lisans tez çalışması olarak incelediğimiz, Niğde iline bağlı Çiftlik ilçesi, 1989'da Aksaray'ın il yapılıp Niğde'den ayrılmasıyla ilçe merkezi olmuştur. Tezde Çiftlik ilçesi beşeri ve ekonomik yönden ele alınmıştır. Niğde ilinin güneybatısında 453,7 km lik alan kaplayan ilçede 9 köy, 4 kasaba ve bir de ilçe merkezi bulunmaktadır. Tamamen volkanik kütlelerle çevrili olan ilçe (Hasan Dağı, Melendizler, Keçiboyduran, Gollü Dağı) Melendiz ova tabanında yer almaktadır. Çiftlik ilçesi Orta Anadolu'da bulunmasından dolayı tipik karasal iklim görülmektedir. Denizden yüksekliğinin fazla olması sebebiyle (1450 m) yağış kısmen fazla, hava sıcaklıkları da daha düşüktür. Sahadaki yükseltiler 3. zaman volkanikleri olup ova tabanı 4. zaman alüvyonları ile kaplıdır. İlçenin en önemli su kaynağı ise ovayı drene eden ve Tuz gölüne dökülen Melendiz suyudur. İlçenin geçim kaynağı tarım ve hayvancılığa dayanmaktadır. Özellikle patates ziraatı ve mera hayvancılığı gelir getiren ekonomik uğraşlar arasındadır. Sahadaki nüfus fazla olmasına rağmen gerek göç durumu, gerekse nüfusun niteliği bakımından farklılık göstermektedir. Bu nedenle hane yapısı, sosyal durumu ve cinsiyet oranları tek tek incelenmiştir. İlçe genelinde erozyon, anız yakma ve hayvan gübrelerinin yanlış kullanımı mevcut çevre sorunları olarak sayılabilir. ı

II ABSTRACT The aim this thesis is to evluate the anthropogeographical and ecogeogmaphical aspects of the town of Çiftlik under the boundary of Niğde. It is at the soutwest of the province of Niğde. It has 453,7 km2 fields. It contains 9 villages, 4 small towns and also town's center. Surrounded with volcanic mass, the town is at the basis of Melendiz plain. The town of Çiftlik is at the Middle of Anadolu so that the terrestrial climate is prevailing there. Its altitude is 1450 metres so that the raining is partilly much and the temperature of weather is rather low. The most important water source of this town is the river of Melendiz that run to the Lake of Tuz. The means of subsistence of this town are agriculture and stock-breeding. Especially, the potato agriculture and stock-breeding at pasture contains whole of this sectors. The population increase is not much in this field. But the fields of town shows the differences in term of migration and its quality. Because of this, the structure of family and social situation and sex proportion are once by once examined.
