Özet

SANATTA YETERLİK TEZ ÖZÜ ÇAĞDAŞ HEYKELDE DENGE Selçuk YILMAZ Heykel Anasanat Dalı Anadolu Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Danışman: Prof. Aytaç Katı Çağdaş Heykelde Denge, adlı bu çalışmada,“denge”kavramı genel olarak ele alınmış, dengenin tasarım için önemi ve gerekliliği vurgulanmıştır. Birinci bölümde görsel dengeyi oluşturan faktörler; Ağırlık, Kütle ve Boşluk, Yüzey, ölçü ve Oran gibi unsurların bir yapıtta denge kurma prensipleri çeşitli şema ve örnek eserler aracılığıyla incelenmiştir. Dengenin yapıt kurgusunda aldığı estetik değerler araştırılmış, yapıt için vazgeçilmez bir sonuç olma özelliği olduğu görülmüştür. Yüzyıllar boyunca dini ve toplumsal geleneklerin etkisinde yaşayan heykel, yüzyılımızda endüstriyel gelişmeler ve malzeme kullanım olanaklarının genişletilmesiyle biçim ve içerik yönünden büyük değişimlere uğramıştır. Bu değişim heykelde kütlenin parçalanarak, boşluğun dili çözülmüş, heykelde en güzel ifade şekli olarak, kütlenin boş-dolu hacimlerle ifadesi seçilmiş çağdaş malzeme ve teknoloji ile yeni denge anlayışlarına ulaşmıştır. İkinci bölümde dengenin tasarım ögeleriyle olan ilişkisi, şekiller ve örnek eserler aracılığıyla ele alınarak“denge durumu”nun tasarımdaki görsel etkileri incelenmiştir.

THESIS SUMMARY FOR ARTS COMPETENCE“THE BALANCE. IN THE CONTEMPORARY SCULPTURE”Selçuk YILMAZ The Sculpture Main Branch Anadolu University, Institute of Social Sciences Adviser: Prof. Aytaç KATI In this study entitled“The Balance In The Contemporary Sculpture”, the concept of“balance”is considered in general terms and its importance and necessity for the design is emphasised. In the first part, the factors that construct the visual balance ;the principles of attaining the balance in a structure such as weight, mass and cavity, surface, measure and proportion are studied through different diagrams and model works. The aesthetic values acquired at the construction of the work of art are examined and found out that this is an undisputed conclusion for the structure. The Sculpture had been under the influence of religion and traditions for centuries. In the twentieth century, it experiences great changes in regard to form and content as a result of industrial developments and expansion of the possibilities of material use. Throughout this evolution process, the mass of the sculpture has been disintegrated, the language of the space de-constructed, the expression of the structure with the volumes of mass-space integration preferred and new concepts of balance discovered with the help of contemporary materials and technology. In the second part, the visual effects of the“state of balance”on the design are examined on the basis of relation between the balance and the elements of design by means of diagrams and model works.
