Özet
H.-G. Gadamer ile tartışmasında E. Betti'nin takipçisi olduğunu iddia eden Fazlur Rahman, Kuran'ın nesnel anlamını kesin olarak bilmek için çifte hareket hermeneutiğini önerir. Buna göre, tarihselci bir yaklaşıma sahip olan yorumcu, öncelikle ilahi niyetle özdeşleştirilen metnin ahlaki amaçlarını araştırmalıdır. Bu metodolojik yorum, Rahman'ın tarihselliğini vurguladığı vahyin bağlamı hakkında bilgi sahibi olmayı gerektirir. Daha sonra bu anlam, lafzi anlamın ötesine geçilerek mevcut duruma uygulanacaktır. Bununla birlikte, günümüz Türkiye'sinde Rahman'a Gadamer'den esinlenen felsefi bir eleştiri yöneltilmiş, yorumcunun tarihselliğini hesaba katmadığı için yazarın niyetini nesnel olarak bilmesini engellediği için suçlanmıştır. Mesele, tüm yorumları kaçınılmaz bir öznelciliğe mahkum etmek değil, Rahman'ın kendi modernist öznelliğini nesnel olarak sunduğunu göstermektir. Bu epistemolojik yaklaşıma karşı çıkan felsefi hermeneutik, kutsallığı nedeniyle yorumcuya tabi kılınamayacak olan metnin anlamını kontrol etme iddiasını sorgulamak ister. Kur'an nesnelleştirilemeyeceği için, okuyucu tek bir iyi yöntem fikrinden vazgeçmeli ve her şeyden önce ontolojik bir ilişki içinde olduğu metin tarafından dönüştürülmesine izin vermelidir. O andan itibaren, yorumcunun Kur'an'ın geçmiş ve şimdiki çoklu okumalarıyla kurduğu ilişki, bir yorum geleneğinin yaratıcılığına yeniden yatırım yapmayı ve Paul Ricoeur ile birlikte yöntemlerin hayırhah bir çatışması olasılığı üzerine düşünmeyi mümkün kılar.

Claiming to be a follower of E. Betti in his debate with H.-G. Gadamer, Fazlur Rahman proposes a hermeneutic of the double movement in order to know with certainty the objective meaning of the Koran. Thus, the interpreter, whose approach is historicist, must first seek the moral purposes of the text, identified with the divine intention. This methodological interpretation requires knowledge of the context of revelation, the historicity of which Rahman emphasises. Then, this meaning will be applied to the present situation by going beyond the literal meaning. However, a philosophical criticism inspired by Gadamer has been addressed to Rahman in contemporary Turkey, where he has been reproached for not taking into account the very historicity of the interpreter, which prevents him from objectively knowing the author's intentions. The point is not so much to condemn all interpretation to an inevitable subjectivism as to show that Rahman presents his own modernist subjectivity as objective. The philosophical hermeneutics that opposes this epistemological approach thus wants to question the claim to control of the meaning of the text which, given its sacredness, cannot be subjected to the interpreter. Since the Qur'an cannot be objectified, the reader must renounce the idea of a single good method and allow himself to be transformed by the text, with which his relationship is above all ontological. From then on, the relationship that the interpreter has with the multiple readings of the Qur'an, past and present, makes it possible to reinvest the creativity of a tradition of interpretations and to think with Paul Ricoeur of the possibility of a benevolent conflict of methods.
