Özet
Kopya, taklit ve yansıma olarak bilinen mimesis kavramı aynı zamanda 'anlatıların' değişip dönüştüğü bir sürece tekabül etmektedir. Bu sürecin nasıl bir serüvene sahip olduğu üzerine olan bu çalışma, öncelikle söz sahibi filozofların düşüncelerine başvurmaktadır. Yapılan incelemelerle 'yaşamın mimesisi' ve 'metinler arası mimesis' olmak üzere iki kavramla süreç tamamlanır. Bu iki kavram Antik Yunan'dan günümüze Batı edebiyatının geçirmiş olduğu değişim ve dönüşümleri göstermektedir. Yaşamın mimesisi ile başlayan anlatılar zamanla birikerek metinler arası mimesisi ortaya çıkartır ve gelinen son aşamada analizler romanlar arası bir düzlemde ilerler. Bunlar olurken kahramanın da kendisine has bir yolculuğu ve evrimi söz konusudur. Antik Yunan anlatılarında kahramanlar Tanrılar iken Prometheus miti ile insanların da anlatıların kahramanı olma yolu açılır. Daha sonra İsa ile birlikte Tanrı tekleşip gökyüzüne çekilir ve anlatıların kahramanı en sıradan insan olmaya başlar. Bu süreç Tanrının uzaklaşması ve insanın gittikçe onun yerini alması ile devam ederek günümüz roman kahramanlarına kadar evrilir. Mimesis bu serüvenin kendisidir.

The concept of mimesis, often understood as imitation, copying, and reflection, also corresponds to a process of transformation and evolution in narratives. This study, which explores the nature of this journey, first turns to the thoughts of influential philosophers. Through the examination of these philosophies, the process is completed with two concepts: 'mimesis of life' and 'intertextual mimesis.' These two concepts demonstrate the changes and transformations that Western literature has undergone from Ancient Greece to the present day. Narratives that begin with the mimesis of life accumulate over time to create intertextual mimesis, and at the final stage, analyses proceed on a level between novels. Meanwhile, the hero also undergoes a unique journey and evolution. In Ancient Greek narratives, heroes were Gods, but with the myth of Prometheus, the way was opened for humans to also become heroes of narratives. Later, with Jesus, God became singular and ascended to heaven, and the hero of narratives began to be the most ordinary person. This process continues with God's distance and man's gradual replacement of him, evolving into the novel heroes of today. Mimesis is this journey itself.
