Özet
Bu araştırma hasta güvenliği kaçış odası oyununun hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bilgi düzeyine ve ekip iş birliğine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla ön-son testli randomize kontrollü deneysel türde yapılmıştır. Araştırma Hemşirelik Esasları-I dersi kapsamında, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik Bölümünde 2023-2024 Eğitim Öğretim Güz Yarıyılında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya başlamadan önce etik kurul ve kurum izni alınmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini hasta güvenliği eğitimi alan öğrenciler, örneklemini ise araştırma kriterlerine uyan ve katılmayı kabul eden 60 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada öğrenciler deney (n=30) ve kontrol (n=30) gruplarına basit randomizasyon yöntemiyle atanmıştır. Araştırmanın veri toplama formları“Tanıtıcı Özellikler Formu”,“Hasta Güvenliği Bilgi Testi”,“İş Birliği Ölçeği”,“Oyunlaştırma İçin Oyunsu Deneyim Ölçeği (Gamex)”ve“Görüş ve Öneriler Formu”şeklindedir. Araştırmanın uygulanmasında deney grubu öğrencileri hasta güvenliği kaçış odalarına alınmış, oyunlar oynamışlardır. Kontrol grubu öğrencileri ise geleneksel eğitim almıştır. Bir hafta sonra tüm öğrenciler“Hasta Güvenliği Bilgi Testi”ve“İş Birliği Ölçeği”ni, deney grubu öğrencileri ise ek olarak“Oyunlaştırma İçin Oyunsu Deneyim Ölçeği (GAMEX)”ve“Görüş ve Öneriler Formu”nu doldurmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencileri arasında tanıtıcı özellikler bakımından anlamlı farklılık olmadığı belirlenmiştir (p>0.05). Deney grubundaki öğrencilerin hasta güvenliği bilgi testi son test ölçümlerinin kontrol grubuna göre istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.05). Deney grubunda iş birliği ölçeği son test puanının kontrol grubuna göre istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.05). Deney grubundaki öğrencilerin oyunlaştırma için oyunsu deneyim toplam puan ortalamasının, ortalamanın üzerinde olduğu belirlenmiştir (97.33±13.69, min:63, maks:120). Hasta güvenliği kaçış odasının hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bilgi düzeyini ve ekip iş birliğini arttırdığı belirlenmiştir. Kaçış odası oyununun hemşirelik eğitiminde kullanımının arttırılması önerilmektedir.

This research was conducted as a randomized controlled experimental type with pre-post test to determine the effect of the patient safety escape room game on the knowledge level and team cooperation of nursing students. The research was carried out within the scope of the Nursing Fundamentals I course, at Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, in the 2023-2024 Fall Semester. Ethics committee and institutional permission was obtained before starting the research. The population of the research consisted of students receiving patient safety training, and the sample consisted of 60 students who met the research criteria and agreed to participate. In the study, students were assigned to experimental (n=30) and control (n=30) groups by simple randomization method. The data collection forms of the research are“Introductory Features Form”,“Patient Safety Knowledge Test”,“Cooperation Scale”,“Gamelike Experience Scale for Gamification (Gamex)”and“Opinions and Suggestions Form”. In the implementation of the research, the experimental group students were taken to patient safety escape rooms and played games. Control group students received traditional education. One week later, all students filled out the“Patient Safety Knowledge Test”and“Collaboration Scale”, and the experimental group students additionally filled out the“Gamelike Experience Scale for Gamification (GAMEX)”and“Opinions and Suggestions Form”. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control group students in terms of descriptive characteristics (p>0.05). It was determined that the post-test measurements of the patient safety knowledge test of the students in the experimental group were statistically significantly higher than those in the control group (p <0.05). It was determined that the cooperation scale posttest score in the experimental group was statistically significantly higher than the control group (p<0.05). It was determined that the total score average of the students in the experimental group for gamification was above the average (97.33±13.69, min:63, max:120). It was determined that the patient safety escape room increased the knowledge level and team cooperation of nursing students. It is recommended to increase the use of escape room games in nursing education.
