Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2023 Kahramanmaraş depremi sonrasında ortaokul öğrencilerinin deprem eğitimi öncesi, eğitim esnası ve eğitim sonrası görüşlerindeki değişimi ve deprem bölgesinden gelen öğrencilerin yaşadıkları deneyimleri incelemektedir. Ayrıca depremi birinci elden yaşayan araştırmacının deprem eğitimi öncesi, eğitim esnası ve eğitim sonrası görüşleri de değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma desenleri kullanılarak yürütülmüştür. Katılımcılar, deprem bölgesinden gelen ve Giresun'da eğitimine devam eden 6 öğrenci , deprem esnasında Giresun ilinde bulunan 12 öğrenci ve araştırmacı olmak üzere toplam 19 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama araçları olarak araştırmacının gözlemleri ve yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca, araştırmacının kendi deneyimlerine dayalı otoetnografik yöntem uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin, deprem öncesi, sırası ve sonrasında da dahil olmak üzere iki hafta boyunca afet ve deprem üzerine eğitim planları uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular betimsel analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda uygulanan afet ve deprem eğitiminin öğrencilerin bilgi ve farkındalığını artırmada etkili olduğu açık ve net bir şekilde ortaya konmuştur. Bu bağlamda afet eğitiminin öğrencilerin yaşamlarına entegre edilerek sürekli hale getirilmesi, ileride yaşanması olası afetlerden en az zararla atlatılmasını olası hale getirecektir. Afet eğitimine dair öğretim programının genişletilmesi ve öğrencilere uygulamalı eğitimlerin verilmesi önerilmektedir.

The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in middle school students' perceptions before, during, and after earthquake education following the 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquake, and to investigate the experiences of students who came from the earthquake zone. Additionally, the views of the researcher, who experienced the earthquake firsthand, before, during, and after the earthquake education were also evaluated. The research was conducted using qualitative research designs. The participants consisted of 19 individuals: 6 students from the earthquake zone continuing their education in Giresun, 12 students who were in Giresun during the earthquake, and the researcher. Data collection tools included the researcher's observations and semi-structured interviews. Moreover, an autoethnographic method based on the researcher's own experiences was also applied. Two-week effective education plans, including pre-, during-, and post-earthquake stages, were implemented for the students. The findings obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods. The results of the study clearly demonstrated that the disaster and earthquake education provided was effective in increasing students' knowledge and awareness. In this context, integrating disaster education into students' lives on a continuous basis will make it possible to minimize the damage from potential future disasters. It is recommended to expand the disaster education curriculum and provide students with practical training.
