Özet
Amaç: Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarını cinsiyet, yaş, sınıf düzeyi, doğum yeri, mezun oldukları lise türü, ailede ya da çevrede öğretmen olup olmaması, aile gelir düzeyi, anne-baba öğrenim durumu, mesleği seçmesindeki faktör ve okuduğu bölümü seçme nedeni değişkenleri açısından incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma grubunu 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılımda Giresun Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğretim gören 70 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında kişisel bilgi formu ve“Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde iki düzeyli değişkenlerde Bağımsız Örneklem T Testi, üç ve daha fazla düzeye sahip değişkenlerde Tek Yönlü ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmada, cinsiyet, yaş, doğum yeri, sınıf seviyesi, mezun olunan lise türü, ailede ve çevrede öğretmen olup olmaması, mesleği seçme nedeni, gelir düzeyi, anne ve baba eğitim durumu değişkenleri açısından öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutum düzeylerinde anlamlı fark görülmemiştir (p>0,05). Meslek seçimini etkileyen faktör değişkeni açısından ise öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutum düzeyinde özellikle çevresel ve aile faktörlerinden dolayı mesleği seçenler lehine anlamlı fark görülmüştür (p<0,05). Sonuç: Öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutum düzeyleri ile çeşitli demografik değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri incelediğimiz araştırmamızda, bu değişkenlerin öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutum üzerinde çok fazla belirleyici bir faktör olmadığı görülmüştür. Bu bulgular, öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik genel tutumların demografik değişkenlerden bağımsız olarak benzer olduğunu ve meslek seçiminde benzer motivasyonlarla hareket edildiğini göstermektedir.

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the attitudes of prospective physical education and sport teachers towards teaching profession in terms of gender, age, grade level, place of birth, type of high school they graduated from, whether there is a teacher in the family or in the environment, family income level, parents' education level, the factor in choosing the profession and the reason for choosing the department. Material and Method: The research group consists of 70 prospective teachers studying at Giresun University Faculty of Sport Sciences in the 2023-2024 academic year. Personal information form and 'Attitude Scale towards Teaching Profession' were used to collect the research data. In the analysis of the data obtained, Independent Sample T Test was used in two-level variables and One-Way Anova test was used in variables with three or more levels. Results: In the study, there was no significant difference in the level of attitudes towards teaching profession in terms of gender, age, place of birth, class level, type of high school graduated from, whether there is a teacher in the family and environment, reason for choosing the profession, income level, mother and father education level variables (p>0,05). In terms of the factors affecting the choice of profession, a significant difference was observed in favour of those who chose the profession due to environmental and family factors (p<0.05). Conclusion: In our study, in which we examined the relationships between attitudes towards teaching profession and various demographic variables, it was seen that these variables were not a determining factor on attitudes towards teaching profession. These findings show that the general attitudes towards teaching profession are similar regardless of demographic variables and that the motivations for choosing a profession are similar.
