SUMMARY Social security is a modern technique aims to protect individuals from some social and physical risks which caused to lose their income and health. Social insurance provides economic and healt security to individual which has paid insurance fee during a significant period and is covered by a social insurance institution. Social insurance institutions in Turkey are S.S.K., Emekli Sandığı, Bağ-Kur and chets for workers which work in banks, insurance and reinsurance companies trade chambers and exchanges. The biggest social insurance institutions of Turkey is SSK was found by social security act. S.S.K. provides insurance service for seven different risks: work injury, occupational diseas, sickness, maternity, disability, old age and death. The social insurance implementations have firstly been commenced in our country in 1946 through the applications of the occupational accidents and professional diseases, maternity insurances. These implementations have been followed by the applications of the old age and sickness insurances established in 1950 restectively. The dispersed legislations of that nature have been integrated by being transformed into an social insurance act. No. 506 that entered into force in 1965. Due to lack of a social security conscious in workers and employers, no state support to finance insurance system, over financal responsibilty of employers and wrong practices in social security system, there are lots of workers which are not coverd by social security system. Obviously, besides of legal regulations an efficent inspection instititution is necessary. According to social security act, insurance inspectors of S.S.K. General Administrataion inspect informal work. Even if it is limited, besides of insurance inspectors, labor inspectors, Agent of Ministry of Finance and registered Accountants and financal consultant inspect work life too.143 inspections is a part of administration and helps to implement aims of organizations and mistakes and wrong duings can only be prevanted by inspection. One of the important factor of succesful inspection is inspector, inspector must have experience and ethical standart and also he must be independent. inspection of social insurance can be defined as a way to search private and public firms which employ workers with job agreement accurdy to rules. Aims of social insurance inspections are to prevent losing insurance fee, to insure workers, to provide workers health and protect work injury, to prevent illegal beneficiaries from social security system to inform employers, workers and third party about legal regulations on social security, and to expend coverage of social insurance.
