Living together is a key concept in the learning of kindergarten pupils. Empathy is therefore a key, which needs to be developed in order to ensure good relationships in their daily lives. Empathy, by definition, is about the ability to put oneself in the place of others. In this context, it is possible to use different tools to develop this characteristic, including the study of tales, which is the foundation of our research work. The problem is therefore: How does empathy manifest itself in kindergarten pupils through tales? The results show that the pupil is able to identify and differentiate four primary emotions: fear, joy, anger and sadness. However, verbalizing one's emotions is still difficult for some pupils. Through the tale Little Red Riding Hood, the pupil identifies with the characters. Thus, he is able to identify the emotions of the characters and show fictional empathy.
