This study was planned as a cross-sectional and descriptive study to determine how the Covid-19 pandemic period affected the use of nutritional supplements in health care workers. The research sample consists of a total of 150 health care professionals, 113 female and 37 male working at Fethiye State Hospital. A survey form consisting of 3 sectionsand 43 questions was used as a data collectiontool in the study. Face to face survey; it consists of socio-demographic data, anthropometric measurements, International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-SF), Covid-19 Disease Perception Scale, and the Covid-19 Fear Scale. The research data were digitalized and evaluated via the SPSS for Windows 22.0 program and the statistical significance level was accepted as p<0.05. The average calculated body mass index (BMI) of the participants was 25.9 kg/m2, and 42.7% were determined to be normal weight, 41.0% were over weight and 15.3% were obese. It is seen that 60.7% of the participants had a positive PCR test at least once. 22.0% of the participants stated that they used nutritional supplements before the pandemic period, and 64.0% during the pandemic period. The most frequently used nutritional supplement by participants during the pandemic period was vitamin D with 52.7%, followed by vitamin C with 34.7% and multivitamins with 27.3%. The Covid-19 Illness Perception Scale dangerousness subscale score of participants who used nutritional supplements during the pandemic period was found to be significantly higher than the score of those who did not use nutritional supplements (p=0.001). Among the participants who used nutritional supplements during the pandemic period, the percentage of women and those with chronic diseases was significantly higher than those who did not use nutritional supplements (p<0.05). It was determined that 55.6% of those who did not use nutritional supplements before the pandemic period started using nutritional supplements during the pandemic period. The change in the use of nutritional supplements during the pandemic period compared to before the pandemic period was found to be statistically significant (p<0.001).
