Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmada özel ve devlet okullarında çalışan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin öğretmenlik mesleğine adanmışlıkları ile sınırsız kariyer tutumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırma grubunu çoğunluğu İstanbul ili Ümraniye ilçesinde özel ve devlet okullarında görev yapmakta olan beden eğitimi öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında 71'i (%52.2) kadın, 65'i (%47.8) erkek olmak üzere toplam 136 beden eğitimi öğretmeninden veriler elde edilmiştir. Beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin 69'u (%50.7) özel okul, 67'si (%49.3) devlet okulunda görev yapmakta idi. Bulgular: Çalışmamız sonucunda özel okullarda görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin fiziksel hareketlilik düzeyinin devlet okullarında görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinden anlamlı şekilde yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmamız sonucunda her ne kadar devlet okullarında görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin mesleğe bağlılık, özverili çalışma, öğrencilere adanma ve genel olarak öğretmenlik mesleğine adanmışlıkları özel okullarda görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerine göre daha yüksek bulunsa da gruplar arasındaki farkın istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı düzeyde olmadığı görülmüştür. Yine çalışmamız sonucunda öğretmenlik mesleğine adanmışlık ile sınırsız kariyer tutumu arasında pozitif yönlü ilişki saptandı. Sonuç: Çalışmamızdan elde edilen sonuçlar dikkate alındığında özellikle özel okullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin mesleğe adanmışlıklarının daha düşük, sınırsız kariyer tutumlarının daha yüksek olduğu görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda bilhassa özel okullarda çalışma koşullarının iyileştirilmesi, özellikle de maaşlarda iyileştirme yapılmasının öğretmenlerin mesleğe adanmışlıklarını artıracağını söyleyebiliriz

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between the dedication to the teaching profession and unlimited career attitudes of physical education teachers working in private and public schools. Method: The research group consists of physical education teachers working in private and public schools in various cities of Turkey, mostly in Istanbul. Within the scope of the research, data were obtained from a total of 136 physical education teachers, 71 (52.2%) female and 65 (47.8%) male. Of the physical education teachers, 69 (50.7%) were working in private schools and 67 (49.3%) were working in public schools. Results: As a result of our study, it was seen that the physical activity level of physical education teachers working in private schools was significantly higher than physical education teachers working in public schools. As a result of our study, although the physical education teachers working in public schools were found to be more committed to the profession, self-sacrificing work, dedication to the students and generally the teaching profession compared to the physical education teachers working in private schools, it was seen that the difference between the groups was not statistically significant. Again, as a result of our study, a positive relationship was found between dedication to the teaching profession and unlimited career attitude. Conclusion: When the results obtained from our study are taken into consideration, it is seen that the dedication to the profession is lower and the unlimited career attitudes of the teachers working in private schools are higher. In this context, we can say that improving working conditions, especially in private schools, and improving salaries will increase teachers' dedication to the profession.
