Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırmada; Erkek Teknik Öğretim Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı olan okullarda görev yapan Teknik Öğretmenlerin günümüz koşullarında, içinde yaşadığı toplum içinde sosyal statüsünün ve ekonomik durumunun ne düzeyde olduğu araştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada Endüstri Meslek Liseleri ve Teknik Liselere öğretmen yetiştiren Teknik Eğitim Fakültelerinin, sanayiye ara insan gücü yetiştiren Endüstri Meslek Liseleri ve Teknik Liselerin bunu yaparken ne düzeyde başarılı oldukları sorgulanmaya çalışılmıştır. Aynı zamanda Teknik Öğretmenlerin topluma sosyal olarak, sanayiye teknolojik ve ekonomik olarak katkı sağlayıp sağlamadığı ile, toplumun Teknik Öğretmene mesleği konusunda değer verip vermediği ve sanayinin okullara ekonomik ve teknolojik katkılarının olmasının gerekip gerekmediği aranmıştır. Bu amaçla anket geliştirilmiş ve bu anket araştırmanın temelini oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın teorik dayanağı ise ilgili kaynaklardan sağlanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan Teknik Öğretmenler; okul, cinsiyet, medeni durum, yaş, meslekteki kıdemleri, okuldaki görevleri, mezun oldukları okul, formasyon alıp almadıkları, hizmetiçi programa katılıp katılmadıkları ve branş değişkenlerine göre karşılaştırılmıştır. İstatistik değerlendirmede anlamlı bulunan (p <05) sonuçlar tablolarla gösterilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Anlamlı farklılık göstermeyen gruplar ise tezde gösterilmemiştir. Araştırma, Erkek Teknik Öğretim Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı İstanbul'daki okullarda görevli Teknik Öğretmenler ve Teknik Öğretmenlerin sosyo-ekonomik düzeyleri ile sınırlıdır. Araştırma sonucunda Teknik Öğretmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun ekonomik olarak, aldıkları maaşla geçinemediğini, kitap, gazete, dergi alamadığım, alanla ilgili yayınlan izleyemediğim belirtirken; geçinebilmek için ek bir iş daha yapılmasına ihtiyaç duyduklarım belirtmişlerdir. Aynı zamanda Teknik Öğretmenler; gelişen bilim ve teknolojiye uyum sağlayabilecek yeni programlar açılmasının gerektiğini ve Teknik Öğretmenlerin de buna paralel bir şekilde nitelikli hizmetiçi programlardan yararlandırılmasına gerek olduğunu, aynı zamanda sanayinin Teknik Öğretmen yetiştirilmesinde ekonomik, bilimsel, teknolojik katkısının olmasının gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir. 111

ABSTRACT In this study, it is investigated the current social status and economical situation in a given society of Technical teachers who were employed in schools under the structure of Technical Education for Men General Directorate. In the study, the success levels of Technical Education Faculties that educate teachers for the Industrial Vocational High Schools and Technical High Schools, and Industrial Vocational High School and Technical High School that educate man power for the industry. Besides it is investigated that whether the technical teachers contribute socially to society and technologically and economically to the industry, whether the society gives importance to the technical teachers professionally and whether it is necessary for the industry to provide economic and technologic contributions to the school. For this purpose a questionnaire was developed and this questionnaire became the basis of the study. The technical teachers who participated in the study were compared according to their schools, sexes, marital statutes, ages, professional priorities, works in school, graduated schools, formations, branch changing and whether they joined to the in-service programme. The meaningful (p <05)results as a result of statistical evaluation were shown in the tables. The groups not showing meaningful differences were not shown in the thesis. The study is limited with technical teachers who work at schools in Istanbul under the structure of Technical Education for men General Directorate, and the social-economic level of the technical teachers. As a result of this study, it is observed that the technical teachers can not manage their lifes with their salaries, they can not buy books, newspapers and magazines and not follow any publishment related to their areas, and so in order to be able to meet their living expenses they have to work in other additional jobs. At the same time, technical teachers mention that it is necessary to provide new programmes in parallel to the developing science and technology, technical teachers should attend to these qualified programmes and the industry should provide economic, scientific and technologic contributions in education of teachers.
