ÖZET KAMU HİZMETLERİ ÇEVRESİNDE SOSYAL HAREKETLER ŞENGÜL (ÖZDEMİR), F. NİHAN Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Şehir ve Bölge Planlama Bölümü Tez Yöneticisi: Doç. Dr. Melih Ersoy Şubat, 1990 Bu çalışma kamu hizmetlerine yönelik çevresinde sosyal hareketlerin, sosyal psikoloji, Fransız okulu, ve kaynak mobilizasyonu gibi kentsel sosyal hareketler perspektifleri kullanılarak yeniden gözden geçirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu tezde, kollektif tüketim araçlarının gelişiminin sermaye birikim sürecine bağlı olmasının yanısıra, bu araçlara ulaşmak için verilen mücadelelerin de bir diğer önemli belirleyici olduğu savunulmaktadır. Diğer bir deyişle, kentsel sosyal hareketler bu süreçte önemli bir yere sahiptirler. Bu bağlamda çalışma gecekondu hareketlerine özel bir vurguyla, kentsel sosyal hareketlerin gelişimi üzerine odaklanmaktadır. Bu hareketlerin değişen (azalan) talep etme ve elde etme özelliklerinin de açıklaması yapılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Çünkü veriler göstermektedir ki radikal talepler yapan kentsel hareketler giderek azalmakta, hatta ortadan kalkmaktadır. Bu düşüş sınırlı ve dar amaçlar gibi içsel nedenler ve altenatif mücadele kanalları ve politik istikrarsızlık gibi dışsal nedenlerden kaynaklanmaktadır.

ABSTRACT URBAN SOCIAL MOVEMENTS AROUND THE PUBLIC SERVICES ŞENGÜL (ÖZDEMIR), F. NİHAN M.C.P. in City and Regional Planning Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Melih Ersoy February 1990 This study aims at re-considering the urban social movements around the public services by using the different perspectives on urban social movements such as socio-psychological, French school and resource mobilisation perspectives. In this study it is argued that although the development and allocation of collective means of consumption depends to a certain extent on the capital accumulation process, struggles to obtain an access to these means are taken as another important determining factor. In other words, urban social movements have an important role in this process. In this context the study concontrates on the development of urban social movements in urban areas with special emphasize on squatter movements. It is also tried to explain the reasons behind the changing (declining) incidence and militancy of these movements. Because what evidence suggests that urban social movements making radical demands has declined even abolished gradually as in the case of squatter movements. Such a decline occurs because of the internal reasons such as limited and narrow objectives of movements and external factors such as alternative channels of struggle and,,,.,,..,.,..
