Özet
Osmanlı klasik iktisat düşüncesinin ve 19. yüzyıldan itibaren bu düşüncede meydana gelen değişimlerin altında yatan nedenler, bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu nedenlerin ortaya konulması için, çalışma boyunca her bir dönemde, iktisadi-toplumsal yapı incelenerek, iktisadi düşünce ile somut koşullar arasındaki bağ kurulmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, Osmanlı toplum yapısının kendine özgü koşullarının bir sonucu olarak, bu toplumda Batı Avrupa'da görülenden farklı bir iktisadi düşüncenin ortaya çıktığı; modern iktisat düşüncesinin ülkeye girmesi ve yayılmasının ise, 19. yüzyılda Avrupa kapitalizmi ile artan ilişkilerin ve bunun üst yapısal dönüşümlerinin bir sonucu olduğu görülmüştür.

The reasons which lie behind the Ottoman traditional thought of economy and the alterations occurred in this thought as from the 19th century, constitute the subject matter of this study. During this study, it has been aimed, in order to bring up these reasons, to set up a correlation between the economic thought and concrete conditions by investigating the economic and social structure in each period. At the end of the study, it has been seen, as a result of the Ottoman social structure, that a specific economic thought, far from what seen in Western Europe, has appeared in this community; and the entry and spread of modern economic thought in the country has come into existence as a conclusion of the relations increased with European capitalism in 19th century and the superstructural transformations thereof.
