Özet
Bu çalışma Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde bilim, teknoloji ve toplum ünitesinin aktarımında kullanılan eğitici çizgi romanlara yönelik öğrenci görüşlerinin incelenmesi amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada 5. Sınıf öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin 4. Ünitesi olan ''Bilim Teknoloji ve Toplum'' ünitesinin eğitici çizgi roman tekniği kullanarak, öğrencilere aktarımı sağlanmış ve verilen eğitim sonucunda öğrencilerin görüşleri açık uçlu sorularla belirlenmiştir. Eğitici çizgi romanlar altı haftalık bir süreçte oluşturulmuş ve görseller oluşturulduktan sonra öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Eğitici çizgi romanlar dört haftalık eğitimlerle öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri 2021-2022 yılında Adananın Yüreğir ilçesinde eğitim öğretime devam eden 24 öğrencinin katılımıyla toplanmıştır. Çalışmada verilen eğitimler sonucunda gönüllü öğrencilerle yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Veri toplama sürecine geçilmeden önce araştırmaya katılmak isteyen öğrencilerle işlenen derslerde öğretim materyali olarak eğitici çizgi romanlar kullanılmış, daha sonra eğitici çizgi romanlara yönelik öğrencilere açık uçlu sorular yöneltilerek katılımcıların öğretim materyali hakkındaki görüşleri alınmıştır. Katılımcıların açık uçlu sorulara verdikleri cevaplar analiz edilmiş ve elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda sosyal bilgiler dersinde kullanılan eğitici çizgi romanların öğrenci başarılarına olumlu etkisi olduğu, öğrencilerin Sosyal Bilgiler dersine karşı ilgilerinin arttığı, öğrencilerin derse yönelik ön yargılarını değiştirdiği ve olumlu bakış açısı geliştirmelerine faydası olduğu bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın son bölümünde ise elde edilen sonuçlar literatür çerçevesinde tartışılarak yorumlanmıştır.

This study was prepared to examine students' opinions on educational comics used in the transfer of science, technology and society unit in social studies course. In the study, 5th grade students were provided with the transfer of the 4th unit of the social studies course,“Science, Technology and Society”unit, using the educational comic book technique, and the opinions of the students were determined with open-ended questions as a result of the training given. Educational comics were created in a six-week period and applied to the students after the visuals were created. Educational comics were applied to students with four-week trainings. The data of the study were collected with the participation of 24 students continuing their education in Yüreğir district of Adana in 2021-2022. As a result of the trainings given in the study, data were collected through face-to-face interviews with volunteer students. Before the data collection process, educational comics were used as teaching materials in the lessons taught with the students who wanted to participate in the study, and then open-ended questions were asked to the students about the educational comics and the opinions of the participants about the teaching material were taken. The answers given by the participants to the open-ended questions were analyzed and in line with the results obtained, it was found that the educational comics used in the social studies course had a positive effect on student achievement, increased students' interest in the social studies course, changed students' prejudices towards the course and helped them develop a positive perspective. In the last part of the study, the results obtained were discussed and interpreted within the framework of the literature.
