Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma, doğum sonrası babalara verilen bebek bakımı eğitiminin baba-bebek bağlanması, annenin doğum sonu depresyon ve yaşam kalitesine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tek kör randomize kontrollü deneysel çalışmanın örneklemine, 31 deney ve 32 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 63 anne ve baba dahil edilmiştir. Çalışma 2019 Eylül-2023 Haziran arasında İç Anadolu bölgesinde özel bir hastanede toplanmıştır. Araştırma için gerekli etik kurul ve kurum izni alınmıştır. Deney grubundaki babalara doğum sonu erken dönemde (1-4 saat) bebek bakım eğitimi verildikten sonra 2, 3, 4, 8 ve 12. haftalarda telefonla babaların bebek bakımına katılımları izlenmiştir. Veriler gerekli izinler alındıktan sonra“Annelere-Babalara Yönelik Kişisel Bilgi Formu”,“Bebek Bakımı Görüş Formu”,“Bebek Bakımı Katılım Çizelgesi”,“Baba-Bebek Bağlanma Ölçeği (BBBÖ)”,“Edinburgh Doğum Sonrası Depresyon (EDSD) Ölçeği”ve“Doğum Sonu Yaşam Kalitesi (DSYK) Ölçeği”ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde; bağımsız gruplarda t testi, Mann Whitney U testi, bağımlı gruplarda t testi, Wilcoxon testi, Bağımlı gruplarda varyans analizi ve Friedman testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Deney grubundaki babaların BBBÖ ve tüm alt boyutları puan ortalamalarının, kontrol grubundaki babaların puan ortalamalarından yüksek ve iki grup arasındaki farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.05). Deney grubundaki annelerin 4, 8 ve 12. haftalarda EDSD Ölçeği puan ortalamaları kontrol grubuna göre daha düşük ve DSYK Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ise kontrol grubuna göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Gruplar arası fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlıdır (p<0.05). Sonuç: Babalara verilen bebek bakımı eğitiminin, baba bebek bağlanması artırdığı, annenin doğum sonu depresyonunu önlemede ve yaşam kalitesini artırmada etkili olduğu bulunmuştur.

Aim: This study was performed with the aim of determining the effect of training in infant care given to fathers after birth on father-infant attachment, postnatal depression in the mother and quality of life. Material and Method: The sample for this single-blind randomized controlled experimental study included a total of 63 mothers and fathers, comprising 31 subjects and 32 controls. The study was collected in a private hospital in the Central Anatolia region between September 2019 and June 2023. Ethics committee and institutional permissions were obtained for the research. Fathers in the experimental group were given infant care training within the early life (first 1-4 hours after birth), with telephone in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th and 12th weeks and participation in infant care was monitored. After necessary permission, data were collected with the Personal Information Forms for Mother-Father, Infant Care Opinion Form, Infant Care Participation Scale, Father-Infant Attachment Scale (FIAS), Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and Postpartum Quality of Life Scale (PQOLS). Analysis of data used the independent groups t test, Mann-Whitney U test, dependent groups t test, Wilcoxon test, dependent groups variance analysis and Friedman test. Results: Mean points for the FIAS and all subscales were higher for fathers in the experimental group compared to fathers in the control group and this difference was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). Mothers in the experimental group had lower mean EPDS points in the 4th, 8th and 12th weeks compared to the control group, while PQOLS mean points were higher compared to the control group. These differences were identified to be statistically significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: Infant care training given to fathers was effective in increasing father-infant attachment, preventing postnatal depression in the mother and increasing quality of life.
