Özet
Bu tez çalışmasında AK Parti ve CHP'nin, 2017 Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sistemi Referandumu ile 2023 Cumhurbaşkanlığı ve Milletvekili Genel Seçimleri propaganda dönemlerinde sosyal medyayı araçsallaştırarak, Twitter paylaşımlarındaki görsel öğelerin karşılaştırılıp analizi amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında iki partinin, her iki seçim propaganda döneminin son bir aylık sürecindeki paylaşımları incelenmiştir. Her iki seçim propaganda dönemi ayrı ayrı incelenmiş, iki partinin de Twitter'da en aktif olduğu 6 gün belirlenerek, buradaki paylaşımlarından 5 farklı konudaki görseller karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırmalardan niceliksel ve niteliksel birçok objektif veri ve değerlendirmeye ulaşılması amaçlanmıştır. Analiz çerçevesinde niceliksel ve niteliksel içerik analizi yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma çerçevesinde seçimlerin propaganda dönemi içerisinden belirlenen 6 günde, AK Parti ve CHP'nin paylaşımlarından niceliksel olarak birçok veri elde edilmiş, öne çıkan yönler analiz edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Yine belirlenen bu günlerdeki paylaşımlardan elde edilen görseller karşılaştırılıp, niteliksel olarak yorumlanıp ve değerlendirilerek analize tabi tutulmuştur. Analiz neticesinde AK Parti ve CHP'nin, 2017 Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sistemi Referandumuna göre 2023 Cumhurbaşkanlığı ve Milletvekili Genel Seçimlerinde yaptığı paylaşımların, hedef kitlede daha fazla karşılık bulduğu, hedef kitleye ulaştırdıkları paylaşımların türlerini değiştirdikleri ve Twitter'ı daha nitelikli ve profesyonel bir şekilde kullandıkları saptanmıştır. Her iki siyasi parti de birçok farklı konuda paylaşım yaparak hedef kitleye ulaştığı, hedef kitlenin de bu paylaşımlara, birçok farklı paylaşım öğesi ile geri dönüş sağladığı görülmüştür.

In this thesis, it is aimed to compare and analyze the visual elements on Twitter posts of the AK Party and CHP, by instrumentalizing the social media during the 2017 Presidential Government System Referendum and 2023 Presidential and Parliamentary General Elections propaganda periods. Within the scope of the study, the shares of the two parties in the last month of both election propaganda periods were examined. Both election propaganda periods were examined separately, by determining the most active 6 days of both parties on twitter, the images on 5 different topics from their posts were compared. It is aimed to obtain many quantitative and qualitative objective data and evaluations from these comparisons. Within the framework of the analysis, quantitative and qualitative content analysis method was applied. Within the framework of the research, many quantitative data were obtained from the shares of the AK Party and CHP within which the determined 6 days of propaganda period of the election prevailed, and conclusively the prominent aspects were analyzed and evaluated. Again, the images obtained from the shares of these days were analysized by comparing, qualitatively interpreting and evaluating. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the posts made by the AK Party and CHP in the 2023 Presidential and Parliamentary General Elections received more responses from the target audience in comparison with the 2017 Presidential Government System Referendum, changed the types of posts they conveyed to the target audience, and used Twitter in a more qualified and professional way. It was observed that both political parties reached the target audience by sharing on many different topics, and the target audience also provided a return to these shares with many different sharing elements.
