-71- SUMMARY The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of eight week aerobic and the combination of aerobic and anaerobic (resistive circuit training) training on body composition and some physiological parameters of over 30 years of women. A total of fourtyeight healthy women were voluntarily participated in this study. Subject were randomly categorized into three groups are control (n=16), aerobic (n=16) and anaerobic+aerobic (n=16) groups. Subjects physiological parameters were measured by using standardized field and laboratory tests. Subjects within aerobic training group cycled for 40 min, three times a week for eigth weeks at 70%-80% of their HR max. The anaerobic+aerobic training group performed 10 resistive circuit exercise with 10 repetetion max principles then they cycled for 30 min at 70%-80% of their heart rate max. Rest between stations was given for 15-30 second. Control group had no exercise program. Statistical analysis were done by using paired t test, Anova, Student-Newman-Keuls, Kruskal Wallis ve Mann-Whitney U tests. Total body weight of experimental groups were significantly decreased (p<0.05). These were orderly %2.54, %2.88, %0.53. In contrast to control group, body fat (kg) and its percentage (%) of experimental groups were significantly decreased (p<0.001). The increase of body fat in control group and its percentage of anaerobic+aerobic group was more significant than the aerobic group (p<0.001). In contrast to anaerobic+aerobic group, fat free mass (kg) and its percentage (%) of aerobic group was not significantly changed (p>0.05).-72- However, fat free mass and its percentage of anaerobic+aerobic group was significantly increased (p<0.05). This can be evaluated that this result was the reflection of weigth training. At the end of this study, resting heart rate, sistolic and diastolic blood pressures of all experimental groups were significantly decreased (p<0.001). Resting heart rate and sistolik blood pressure of anaerobic+aerobic group was more significantly decreased than aerobic group (p<0.001). When diastolic blood pressures of the experimental groups were compaired, there was not any significant differences found between each other (p>0.05).
