Özet

Araştırmanın temel amacı, Giresun'da yaşayan yerel halkın ekoturizm hakkındaki algısı ve Giresun'un ekoturizm potansiyeli arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda bu çalışma, ekoturizm alanında yapılacak planlama çalışmalarına ışık tutması ve literatüre katkı sağlaması ve Giresun'un ekoturizm potansiyeli konusunda yerel halkın ekoturizme bakış açısını ortaya koyması bakımından önemlidir. Araştırmada yerel halkın ekoturizm algısını ölçmek için 600 katılımcıya anket uygulanmıştır ve uygulanan anketlerden geçerli olan anket sayısı 508'dir. Araştırmada veri toplama tekniği olarak anket formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Giresun ili merkez ve ilçelerinde yaşayan yerel halk oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarının elde edilmesi ve yorumlanması hususunda, demografik faktörler değerlendirilmiş, ortalama (mean) analizi, ölçekler için güvenirlik analizi, demografik faktörlerin ölçekle ilişkisini belirlemek amacıyla t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (anova testi) yapılmıştır. Elde edilen analiz sonuçlarına göre cinsiyet ve ekoturizm algısı arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında gerçekleştirilen tek yönlü varyans analizi (anova) sonuçlarına göre; yaş ve ekoturizm algısı arasında, meslek durumu ve ekoturizm algısı arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur.

The main aim of the study is to reveal the relationship between the perception of the local people living in Giresun about ecotourism and the ecotourism potentiality of Giresun province. This study is important in terms of shedding light on the planning studies to be conducted in the field of ecotourism and contributing to the literature and revealing the perspective of the local people on ecotourism about the ecotourism potentiality of Giresun. In order to measure the ecotourism perception of the local people in the research, a questionnaire was applied to 600 participants and the number of valid questionnaires is 508.Data were collected through a survey. The sample of the research includes the local people living in the center and districts of Giresun. In terms of obtaining and interpreting the collected data, demographic factors were analyzed; mean analysis, reliability analysis for scales, t-Test and One-way ANOVA were performed to determine the relationship between the demographic factors and the scale. The results showed that there is a significant difference between gender and ecotourism perception. The results of One-way ANOVA revealed that there is a significant difference between age and ecotourism perception; occupational status of the participants and ecotourism perception of the local people.
