Climate change causes a wide variety of negative consequences that will affect almost every person on Earth. With time, deterioration has started with humanitarian interventions such as the density of population increasing on the coasts, the damage of cargo ships to the environment, the increase of garbage, construction of artificial canals, changing the coastline, beaches, and destructions to the ecosystem. In addition to human influence in nature, it occurs in continuous periods in an evolutionary transformation. The most distinctive features of global warming and climate change are the glacier melting, the increase of greenhouse effect, the changes in sea and ocean waters, the decline of fish species, the extinction of the generations of the living beings in nature, drought, hurricanes, and floods. These changes threaten the world cycle and life. Countries all around the world are taking various measures to combat global warming and rising water levels. Temperature rise based on global warming in the Mediterranean and its surroundings poses a great threat. Venice, which is a coastal city, has been struggling against the rising water for many years. The most important result of the water level increase is erosion. The compression of the lagoon during the city construction and the increase of global warming effects raised larger problems. The city, whose sea floor is sinking, is quite vulnerable to water. The most important reason for the start of the collapse is pumping underground water for industrialization. The occurrence of depression in the lagoon reduced the rate of salt marshes by up to 8.8%. This article deals with the restoration and improvement of salt marshes to reduce the effects of global warming on Venice. Research subjects; To address the potential impact of global warming and climate change on coastal settlements that threaten humanity and other mansions in nature through Venice. Firstly, how the city was in the past, how it today and what will change in the future will be research. Secondly, the effects of global warming and climate change on human settlements in Venice will be discussed in the next 100 years. In the conclusion; In the conclusion section; A presentation will be made on how the restoration of salt marshes on the Venetian coast can reduce the effects of global warming.
