Özet
ÖZET Yeni bir teknolojiye geçiş karan öyle kolayca verilebilecek bir karar değildir. Öncelikle mevcut yöntemlerin yetersiz kaldığı noktalar tesbit edilir, uygulamada karşılaşılan zorluklar, mevcut imkanlar ve ekonomik getiri ve götürüleri analiz edilerek, yeni teknolojilerin bu hususlarda getireceği kazançlar etüd edilir. Eğer aradaki fark yapılacak yatırıma değiyorsa, bu geçiş kararı verilir. Bu çalışmada kullanılması düşünülen yeni teknoloji“toz metalürjisi”dir. Bu teknolojiye geçme kararının verilebilmesi için kullanılmakta olan diğer teknolojiler hem mühendislik, hem kalite ve hem de maliyet açılarından etüd edilmiş ve ardından bu hususlara ilişkin olarak yeni teknolojinin artıları ve eksileri ortaya konulmuştur. Sonuçta görülmüştür ki, bu yeni teknoloji klasik yöntemlere göre çok daha avantajlıdır. Bu sonuca varmada yapılan çeşitli araştırma bulguları kullanılmış ve özellikle malzeme kayıpları, kalıp amortismanı ve gereken işgücü ile zaman konularında aradaki farkların ne kadar büyük olduğu görülmüştür.

SUMMARY The Comparison of the Alternative Methods and Technologies in the Design of a New Product The decision of a new technology is not as easy as to make other similar decisions. First of all, the points where the existing technologies were incapable, are found, the difficulties that are met in application, the facilities available, and the economical income and outgoing are analysed and finally the advantages of this new technology on the points that are given above, are evaluated. If the differences between this new technology and the others are enough for making this decision, then it is accepted. The new technology considered to be used in this study is“powder metallurgy”. For making a decision to use this technology, the other forging technologies are examined both from engineering, quality and cost perspectives and then this technology's advantages and disadvantages are given for these perspectives. At the end of this study, it was seen that, this new technology is very advantageous compared with the others. To reach this conclusion, the data from previous searches were used. As a result, the great differences, especially for material losses, die costs, and for the necessary labour with too much time savings, were realised.
