Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada, Kocaeli (İzmit) Maşukiye yöresi floristik yönden araştırılmıştır. Araştırına alanı, Maşukiye yöresidir. Yörenin en yüksek yeri Kel Tepe'(1604m.)dir. 1995 - i 998 yıllarında bölgeye araştırma gezileri yapılmıştır. Arazide resimleri de çekilerek toplanan bitki örneklerinin teşhisi, İstanbul Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi ilerbaryunf (ISTO)ıında yapılmıştır. Örneklerden bir kısmına 1STO Herbaryum numarası verilerek koleksiyona katılmıştır. W ettstein sistemine göre listeler hazırlanmıştır. Sonuçta 216 otsu ve odunsu bitki (aksonu saptanmıştır. C.ranııneae familyası, 25 takson ile en zengin familya olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Araştırma alanının kuzey bakılarında, Euro-Siberian elemanlar; Fagus orientalis L., Carpinus betulus L., Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertner, Corylus avellana L. var. avellana, Rhododendron ponticum L., Daphne pontica L., Mespilus germanica L., Acer tıautvvetteri Medvv.. Castanea sativa Mili., Cornus mas L., Fraxinus angustifolia Vahi, Cornus sanguinea L., Populus tremula L., Salix caprea L., Tilia argentea Desf. l.aurocerasus officinalis Roemer, Vaccinium arctostaphyllos L., Ilex colchica Poj., Sorbus torminalis (L.) Crantz var. torminalis, güney bakılarında, Mediterranean elemanlar; Phillyrea latifolia L., Laurus nobilis L., Erica arborea L., Arbutus unedo L., C'istus salviifolius L. yayılış göstermektedir. IV

SUMMARY In this study, Kocaeli (İzmit) Maşukiye region was investigated from the point of the structure of flora. Area of the investigation was Maşukiye and the heighest place of the region was Kel Tepe ( 1604 m). Between the years 1995-1998 investigation tours to the region were made. Detection of the plant samples which photographed and gathered from the region was undertaken in the Herbarium of the University of İstanbul Faculty of Foresty (ISTO). Some of the samples were added to the collection by giving ISTO Herbarium numbers. Lists according to the Wettstein System were prepared. In the end herbacious and woody plant taxa were determined. 216 herbaceous and woody specimens were examined. (iraiuineae family was observed as the widest family with 25 taxa. In the northern hills of the investigated are a Euro-Siberian elements such as; Fagus orientalis L.,Carpinus betulus L., Alntts gluiiiiosa (L.) Gaertner, Corylus avellana L. var. avellana, Rhododendron politician L., Daphne poniica L., Mespi/us germanica L., Acer trautwetteri Medw., Casianea saliva Mill., Cornus mas L., Fraxinus angusti folia Vahl, Comus sanguinea L. J'opnhis Irennila L., Salix caprea L., Tilia argentea Desf., Laıırocersııs officinalis Roemer, Vaccinium arciosiaphyllos L., Ilex colchica Poj., Sorbus torminalis (L.) were observed. In the southern hills of the investigated area Mediterranean elements such as; Phillyrea latifolia L., Lauras ııohilis L., I'.rica arhorea L., Arbutus unedo L., Cisius salviifo/ius L. existed. At the end of the undertaken investigations it was determined that the climate type of the oceanic one was dominant and that the vegetation of the region was fitting to this climate type.
