Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Duyusal Hikaye Zamanı (Sensory Storytime) Programının 4 yaşındaki çocukların dil becerilerine ve sosyal duygusal gelişimine etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma da karma yöntem kullanılarak, nitel ve nicel veriler birlikte elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın uygulama süreci İstanbul ili, Kağıthane ilçesinde yer alan bağımsız bir özel anaokulunda 4 yaş sınıfında olan 26 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sürecinde, çocuklara Duyusal Hikaye Zamanı (Sensory Storytime) Programı 10 hafta boyunca haftada 2 ders saati olarak uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri için TEDİL- Türkçe Erken Dil Gelişim Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel verileri için ise Yapılandırılmış Kontrol Listesi ve Araştırmacı Günlüğünden faydalanılmıştır. Nicel boyuttan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, Duyusal Hikaye Zamanı (Sensory Storytime) Programının çocukların alıcı dil ve ifade edici dil becerileri üzerine olumlu yönde etkisi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunda, Duyusal Hikaye Zamanı (Sensory Storytime) Programının çocukların sosyal duygusal gelişimleri üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmada nicel boyuttan elde edilen bulguların, nitel boyuttan elde edilen bulgularla desteklendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of the Sensory Storytime Program on the language skills and social emotional development of 4-year-old children. By using mixed method in the research, qualitative and quantitative data were obtained together. The implementation process of the research was carried out in an independent private kindergarten located in Istanbul province, Kağıthane district, with 26 students aged 4 years. During the research process, the Sensory Storytime Program was applied to the children as 2 lesson hours per week for 10 weeks. TEDIL-Turkish Early Language Development Test was used for the quantitative data of the study. For the qualitative data of the research, Structured Checklist and Researcher's Diary were used. According to the results obtained from the quantitative dimension, it was determined that the Sensory Storytime Program had a positive effect on children's receptive and expressive language skills. In the qualitative aspect of the study, it was observed that the Sensory Storytime Program was effective on the social and emotional development of children. In the study, it was concluded that the findings obtained from the quantitative dimension were supported by the findings obtained from the qualitative dimension.
