Özet
Today, with the advancement of science, health, and care, more people are getting older and the number of elderly people is increasing day by day, with more than one billion people over 60 years of age, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020. With the increasing number of elderly in relation to the entire population, the issues of health, and well-being in society is expanding every day and will have many consequences if their psychological needs are not recognized. One of the important needs that the elderly face is the needs related to physical and mental health. These individuals have specific physical, psychological, and social characteristics that make their lifestyle changes substantially at the onset of the critical phase of aging. Responding to the needs of this segment of society requires understanding their morale as well as exploring different aspects of social life in old age. Given the increasing population of elderly people in the country, providing amenities and services in cities, especially to encourage activity, social responsibility and increase social interaction has an important role in increasing the life expectancy and quality of life of these people. Therefore, the present study is an attempt to respond to these needs in the elderly people. Therefore, in this study, we designed a nursing home in district 22 of Tehran to have access to up-to-date health services in addition to enjoying a more humane climate than other areas of Tehran, which are important for their health. On the one hand, given the need for more interactions at this age, collection has been designed to provide the most social interaction among the elderly to increase their sense of well-being, morale, and life expectancy. For this purpose, a qualitative research method and sample analysis were used. Firstly, using library studies of the subject literature, the influential components of social interactions and belonging to the elderly have been concluded as a theoretical framework. Then, case studies were selected according to the topic and approach at international, national and regional scales and analyzed and concluded using a theoretical framework. Subsequent basic studies, including human beings, criteria for the design of residential and therapeutic spaces, and ultimately the physical design of the project were undertaken. Finally, while presenting the ideas and design process carried out from the studies, the architectural design of the nursing home was formed.
