Özet
Bu araştırma, Türkiye'deki eğitim fakülteleri müzik eğitimi bölümlerinde viyolonsel eğitiminin genel durumunu belirli boyutlarıyla inceleyip ortaya koymak ve buradan hareketle viyolonsel eğitiminin geliştirilmesine görüş ve önerilerle katkıda bulunmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada durum tespitine yönelik bir model esas alınmış, veriler görüşme, anket ve kaynak tarama yoluyla elde edilerek işlenmiş, betimsel istatistik yöntemleri yardımıyla çözümlenerek yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada viyolonsel eğitiminin somut durumu, ilgili öğretim elemanları ve öğrencilerin viyolonsel eğitimine ilişkin görüşleri, viyolonsel öğretim elemanları ve öğrencilerinin taşıdıkları belli özellikler, viyolonsel eğitiminde program geliştirme çalışmalarının durumu ve viyolonsel öğretim elemanlarının yaklaşımı, viyolonsel öğrencilerinin uygulanan viyolonsel öğretim programlarındaki başarı düzeyleri, viyolonsel eğitiminde kullanılan dağara ilişkin görüşler ve kullanılan metot-kitaplar, eserler listesi, ilgili öğretim elemanları ve öğrencilere göre viyolonsel eğitiminde karşılaşılan güçlükler, güçlük çekilen beceriler ve sorunlar, ilgililerin viyolonsel eğitiminin geliştirilmesine yönelik görüş ve önerileri ortaya konulmuştur.

This study aims to investigate the general state of the violoncello training in the music training departments of the faculties of education in Turkey in a multi dimensional way, and thus to contribute new views and suggestions towards the improvement of the violoncello training. In the research we adopted a model to determine the present state by collecting data through interviews, opinion polls and literatüre scanning. All the data thus collected were interpreted being analysed with the help of descriptive statistical methods. This study includes the topics which follow: The positions of the teaching staff and the students on the current state of the violoncello training; certain features associated with the violoncello teachers and the students; the state of the attemps at the syllabus development in the violoncello teaching, and the opinions there of the teaching staff and the students; the achievement levels of the students in the current syllabus of the violoncello training; the opinions on the literature used in the violoncello training; a list of the method books and works used; the difficulties in the teaching of the violoncello according to the teaching staff and the students concerned; the skills which present difficulties and the problems; and finally the views and suggestions put forward by the people concerned with regard to the improvement of the violoncello training.
