Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı; Müzik Öğretmenliği Lisans Programında yürütülen“Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulaması”dersi kapsamında temel müzik teorisi kazanımlarına yönelik öğrenci görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmanın evrenini Türkiye'de öğrenim gören tüm Müzik Öğretmenliği Lisans Programı öğrencileri, örneklemini ise Gazi Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören 31 Müzik Öğretmenliği Lisans Programı öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma nitel bir araştırmadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak anket kullanılmıştır. Uzman desteği ile hazırlanan anket soruları“Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulaması”dersini toplamda 2 yarıyıl boyunca almış ve Gazi Üniversitesi Müzik Öğretmenliği Lisans Programında okuyan 31 öğrenciye sorulmuştur. Anket sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS programı aracılığıyla analiz edilmiş, bulgular frekans (f) ve yüzde (%) dağılımları ile tablolaştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğunun“Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulaması”ders saati süresini yetersiz ancak müzik teorisi kapsamındaki birçok konuda kendilerini yeterli bulmuşlardır. Bazı sonuçlar ise şöyledir;“Çarpma, tril, grupetto vb. ezgisel süslemeler”konusunu derste yeterince iyi düzeyde işlemediklerini ve“bir okul şarkısına ya da bu düzeyde yazılmış bir yapıta uygun ezgisel süslemeleri ekleme”konusunda yeterince iyi düzeyde olmadıklarını düşündükleri biçimindedir. Elde edilen bulgulara yönelik birtakım sonuç ve öneriler sunulmuştur.

The purpose of this research is to determine“Student's Remarks for Basic Music Theory Outcomes Within the Scope of Theory and Application Class of Western Music”carried out in Music Teaching Undergraduate Program. In this direction, the universe of the research consists of all Music Teaching Undergraduate Program students studying in Turkey, and the samples are 31 Music Teaching Undergraduate Program students studying at Gazi University. This study is a quantitive study. A questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. Questionnaire was prepared with the support of experts were asked to 31 students who took the“Western Music Theory and Practice”course for 2 semesters in total and studying at Gazi University Music Education Undergraduate Program. The data obtained as a result of the survey were analyzed through the SPSS program, and the findings were tabulated and interpreted with frequency (f) and percentage (%) distributions. As a result of the research, the following results were obtained, although the majority of the students found the“Western Music Theory and Practice”course hours insufficient and they found themselves sufficient in many subjects within the extent of music theory:“Grace note, trill, grupetto, etc. they thought that they did not cover the subject of ”melodic ornament“ in the lesson at a good enough level; it has been concluded that they think they are not at a good enough level in ”add appropriate melodic ornaments to a school song or a work written at this level". Some conclusions and suggestions for the findings are presented.
