DETERMINATION OF THE COORDINATION NUMBERS OF LITHIUM and MAGNESIUM(H) IONS IN ACETONITRILE, PROPIONITRILE and N,N'-DIMETHYLFORMAMIDE (M. Sc. Thesis) Serpil AYDIN GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY August 1998 ABSTRACT In this study, the solutions of magnesium perchlorate (Mg(ClO4)2) have been prepared in Acetonitrile, Propionitrile and N,N'-Dimethylformamide and the solution of lithium perchlorate (LİCIO4) have been prepared in N,N'- Dimethylformamide at various concentrations. The coordination numbers of this solvents surrounding metal cations have been determined by way of measuring change in solvent bands intensities in Raman spectra. Science code : 404.03.01
