Özet
Bu çalışma Fransız aydınlanma düşünürü J.J. Rousseau'nun ünlü eseri "Toplum Sözleşmesi'nde adalet ve eşitlik düşüncesini nasıl ele alıp geliştirdiğini ve dönemin toplum düşünürlerinin buna katkı ya da eleştirileri noktalarını etraflıca gözden geçirilip tartışma amaçlıdır. Aynı zamanda çalışmada Rousseau'nun onun toplum sözleşmesini oluşturan temel fikirlerine de perspektif yaratma amacıyla bakılacaktır. Tezin bir diğer amaçladığı Aristoteles'in adalet düşüncesindeki, dağıtıcı adalet fikrindeki eşitlikle, toplum sözleşmesinin savunduğu eşitlik arasında ne gibi benzerliklerinin olduğunu ya da benzerliğin nasıl olduğunu göstermeye çalışmaktır. Çalışmada bir diğer incelenecek konu ise toplum sözleşmesine (Rousseau) dahil edilmeyen grupların (kadınlar …) dahil edilmeme nedenlerini sorgulamaktır. M.Wollstonecarft ,Rousseau'yu Toplum Sözleşmesinde kadınları görmezden gelmekle suçlar. Bu görüşler daha sonraları feminist hareketler tarafından benimsenmiştir. Çalışma aynı zamanda bu iddiayı da incelemektedir. Çalışmanın en sonunda da var olduğu iddia edilen postülanın(erkekler için) temellendirilmesi mevcuttur.

This work was written by the French enlightenment thinker J.J. Rousseau's famous work“The Social Contract”aims to examine and discuss how he handled and developed the idea of justice and equality and the contribution or criticism of the social thinkers of the period. At the same time, the basic ideas of Rousseau's social contract will be examined to form a perspective in the study. Another aim of the thesis is to try to show the similarities between the equality in Aristotle's idea of distributive justice and the equality advocated by the social contract, or how the similarity is. Another issue to be examined in the study is to question the reasons for not including groups (women…) that are not included in the social contract (Rousseau).M.Wollstonecarft accuses Rousseau of ignoring women in the social contract. These views were later adopted by the feminist movements. The study also examines this claim.There is a justification for the postulate(for men) that is claimed to exist at the end of the study.
