In this study, the nature of Asabiyya, which is considered as one of the basic concepts of Ibn Khaldun's Mukaddime, was investigated as literature and its reflection in the context of today's tribal community. It is accepted that Ibn Khaldun pioneered sociology with his original ideas and concepts. In the original science of Umran, the descriptions of society and human conditions in Nomadic and Civilized society have been evaluations that transcend time. The change between settled life and nomadism in the Sperti Tribe in Silopi, located at the cross roads of three countries (Turkey, Syria, Iraq), constitutes the content of the study. In our research, in which the qualitative method was preferred due to the nature of the tribe's relations, in-depth interviews, one of the data collection techniques, were used. The change, which started with the abandonment of the highland life of the tribe, gained strength with the increase in welfare and the number of educated individuals. Sperti tribe seems to have had its share from the modern life, communication and information world's resembling societies. Because the will of the community to keep its traditions and customs alive is quite weakened against the desire to become worldly and to think individually. It has been observed that the most important element that still keeps the community unity and cultural memory of the tribe alive is religion and religious attitudes.
