Özet
Bu çalışma sosyal bilim ve gelecek ilişkisi üzerine bir tartışma yürütmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Geleceğin sosyal süreçlerin ve insan eyleminin önemli bir unsuru olmasına karşın sosyal bilime dahil edilmesi noktasında ikircikli bir tutum söz konusudur. Bu ikircikli tutumun kaynağı ve yansıması olarak sosyal bilimde genellikle uzakta ve henüz olmayan biçiminde kavramsallaştırılan gelecek, düşüncedeki bu konumu nedeniyle ancak belirli yaygın eğilimler üzerinden ve dolaylı olarak sosyalin analizine dahil edilebilmektedir. Bu durumun yarattığı en önemli sorun, gelecek sosyolojisi alanının olgunlaşmamasından ziyade sosyal bilimin sosyalle, çağıyla ve kendisiyle ilişkisi üzerindeki etkilerinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu nedenle, çalışmada sosyal bilim ve gelecek ilişkisine yönelik tartışmanın temel odaklarından biri geleceğin sosyal düşüncedeki yaygın konumunun sorgulanması üzerine kurulmaktadır. Bu odak, geleceğe kıyasla daha yaygın ve yerleşik bir ilgi gören zamana ilişkin kuramsal yaklaşımların sosyal ve zaman arasında kurdukları ilişkinin değerlendirilmesi yoluyla açılmaktadır. Kuramsal tartışmaların sosyal bilim ve gelecek ilişkisi açısından yarattığı açmazlar, daha ziyade zamana ilişkin deneyimlere ve bu deneyimler arasındaki eşitsizliklere odaklanan ve çalışmada zaman politikası olarak adlandırılan literatürdeki bir başka eğilim tarafından yeniden üretilmektedir. Bu noktada, manifesto türünden seçilen örneklerin zamansal yapılarının analizi sosyal bilim ve gelecek ilişkisi üzerine düşünme girişimi için önemli bir alan açmaktadır. Ayrıca, söz konusu ilişki sosyalin tanımsal sınırlarını ve içeriğini de biçimlendiren bilim ile gelecek ilişkisi açısından da değerlendirilmektedir. Bu tartışmalardan hareketle, gelecek spesifik bir çalışma konusu olmaktan ziyade, çalışmada futural olarak adlandırılan bir duruş ve perspektif olarak konumlandırılmaktadır. Futural duruş ve perspektifin içeriği ise, çalışmada futural sosyal bilimin önkoşulu olarak tanımlanan zamansallığın niteliklerinin tartışılması ve geleceğin konumunun sorgulanması yoluyla açıklanmaktadır.

This study aims to discuss the relationship between the social science and the future. Although the future is an important element of social processes and human actions, there is an ambivalent attitude to its inclusion in social science. As the both source and reflection of this ambivalent attitude, the future, which is generally conceptualized as distant and not-yet in social science, has been indirectly included in the analysis of the social through certain common tendencies due to its position in thought. The most significant problem created by this situation arises from its effects on the relationship of social science with the social, the age and itself, rather than the immaturity of the sociology of the future. Thus, in the study, one of the main focuses of the discussion on the relationship between social science and the future is based on the questioning the prevailing position of the future in social thought. This focus is opened through the evaluations of the relationship between the social and time established by the theoretical approaches to time, which have received more extensive and settled attention than the future. The predicaments created by the theoretical debates in terms of the relationship between social science and the future have been reproduced by another tendency in the literature which focuses on time-related experiences and the inequalities between these experiences, and is called as the politics of time in the study. At this juncture, the analysis of the temporal structures of the examples selected from the manifesto genre opens up an important room for the attempt to contemplate on the relationship between social science and the future. In addition, the relationship in question is also evaluated with regard to the relationship between the future and science, which also shapes the definitional boundaries and content of the social. Based on these discussions, the future is positioned as a stance and perspective called as futural in the study, rather than a specific subject of study. The content of the futural stance and perspective is explained by discussing the features of temporality defined as the precondition of futural social science in the study, and questioning the position of the future.
