Özet
İnsanların yaradılışından itibaren var olan rekabet; kısıtlamaların olmadığı bir ortamda, bireylerin yeteneklerini kendileri dışındaki bireylere göstermeye çalıştığı, adalete bağlı bir yarışla sürekliliğin ön planda olduğu bir keşif yolculuğudur. Bu keşif yolculuğu, iktisat tarihinde iktisatçıların ve iktisat düşünce okullarının ilgisini çektiği için birçok çalışmaya konu olmuştur. Rekabet çalışmaları arasında firma, sektör, bölgesel, ulusal, blok ve uluslararası olmak üzere farklı birimler için nitelik tahlili, lehte ve aleyhte olan durumların ortaya konulması ve rekabetçilik yapısı ve derecesinin belirlenmesi ile karşılaştırma yapabilmeyi sağlayan endeks hesaplamaları da yer almaktadır. Özellikle 1980'li yıllardan sonra küreselleşme, bölgeselleşme ve yerelleşme hareketlerindeki değişimlerle birlikte değer kazanan hesaplamalardan rekabetçilik endeksi bu çalışmanın da konusunu oluşturmaktadır. KOP bölgesi ve illerinin rekabetçilik yapısı ve gücünün belirlenmesi amacıyla rekabetçilik endeksinin hesaplandığı çalışmamızda; beşerî sermaye ve yaşam kalitesi, markalaşma becerisi ve yenilikçilik, ticaret becerisi ve üretim potansiyeli, erişilebilirlik ve rekabetçilik endeksi hesaplamalarına ilk kez dahil ettiğimiz çevresel performans alt endekslerini oluşturan değişkenlerin 2007-2019 yılları arasındaki verileri ilgili veri kaynaklarından şeffaf bir şekilde temin edilerek rekabetçilik değerleri oluşturulmuştur. İllerin rekabetçilik değerlerinden hareketle KOP bölgesinin rekabetçilik değerlerinin hesaplandığı endeks sonucunda; KOP bölgesinin rekabetçilik değerinin, 2008 yılında markalaşma becerisi ve yenilikçilik, ticaret becerisi ve üretim potansiyeli, erişilebilirlik ve çevresel performans alt endeks değerlerinde meydana gelen değişim nedeniyle düşüş yaşadıktan sonra 2019 yılına kadar sürekli arttığı görülmüştür. KOP bölgesinde bulunan Konya ilinin kararlı rekabetçilik yapısı ile ön plana çıktığı, Yozgat, Aksaray, Karaman ve Kırıkkale illerinin rekabetçilikte kırılgan yapıya sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The competition that has existed since the creation of humans is an exploration journey in which continuity is at the forefront with a race committed to justice, where individuals try to show their talents to individuals other than themselves in an environment where there are no restrictions. This journey of discovery has been the subject of many studies in the history of economics, as it has attracted the attention of economists and schools of economic thought. Among the competitive studies, there are attribute analysis for different units such as firm, sector, regional, national, bloc and international, revealing the favorable and unfavorable situations, determining the competitiveness structure and degree, and index calculations that enable comparison. The competitiveness index, which is one of the calculations that gained value with the changes in globalization, regionalization and localization movements after the 1980s, is the subject of this study. In our study, in which the competitiveness index is calculated in order to determine the competitiveness structure and strength of the KOP region and its provinces; competitiveness values were created by obtaining the data between 2007 and 2019 transparently from the relevant data sources of the variables that make up the environmental performance sub-indices, which we included for the first time in the calculations of human capital and quality of life, branding skills and innovation, trade skills and production potential, accessibility and competitiveness index. Based on the competitiveness values of the provinces, as a result of the index in which the competitiveness values of the KOP region are calculated; It has been observed that the competitiveness value of the KOP region has increased continuously until 2019, after experiencing a decline in 2008 due to the change in branding ability and innovation, trade skill and production potential, accessibility and environmental performance sub-index values. It has been concluded that the province of Konya, located in the KOP region, stands out with its stable competitiveness structure, and the provinces of Yozgat, Aksaray, Karaman and Kırıkkale have a fragile competitive structure.
