Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de kömür madenciliği sektörünün gelişimini ve ekonomik yapısını inceleyerek, bu sektörün Türkiye ekonomisi içindeki yerini belirlemektir. Ayrıca, Türkiye'de kömür madenciliği sektörünün gelişimi incelenirken Dünya'daki kömür madenciliği sektörünün gelişimine de değinilmiş ve Türkiye'nin Dünya kömür madenciliği içindeki yeri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır: 1. Bölüm'de Dünya'da ve Türkiye'de kömür madenciliğinin gelişimi ve Türkiye'nin Dünya kömür madenciliği içindeki durumu incelenerek, kömürlerin tanım ve sınıflandırılması yapılmış ve Türkiye'de üretilen kömür türleri, kömür rezervleri ve sektörde üretim yapan önemli kuruluşlar açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. 2. Bölüm'de kömür madenciliğinin ekonomideki önemi belirlenerek bu sektörün Türkiye ekonomisi içindeki yeri; kömür ekonomisi, üretim yöntemi ve teknoloji ve üretim maliyetleri ana başlıkları altında incelenmiştir. Bu ana başlıklar içinde kömür ekonomisi bölümü; kömürün makro ve mikro ekonomik işlevi ve kömür arz ve talebi olmak üzere başlıca dört alt başlık altında ele alınmış, üretim yöntemi ve teknoloji bölümü ise; tüvenan kömür üretim yöntemleri, kömür hazırlama teknolojileri, ürün standartları ve mevcut kapasiteler ve kullanım oranları olmak üzere yine dört alt başlık altında ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Üretim maliyetleri bölümü ise yalnız başına ele alınarak açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Türk kömür madenciliği sektörünün değerlendirilmesi konusuna ise 3. Bölüm'de yer verilmiştir. Bu bölümde, Türkiye'de kömür madenciliği sektörünün boyutları, kişi başına düşen kömür miktarı ve kömür çeşitlerine göre dağılım alt başlıkları altında ele alınarak incelenmiş, kömür madenciliğinde devlet denetimi ise ayrıca bir başlık altında ele alınmıştır.

SUMMARY The objective of this study is to examine the development and economic structure of the Coal Mining Sector in Turkey, and thus to determine its place in the economy of the nation. Furthermore, while examining the development of coal mining in Turkey, the subject of the development of coal mining in the world has also been considered, and efforts have been made to determine the place of Turkey in the world with respect to coal mining. In Chapter 1, the development of Coal Mining in Turkey and in the world, and the place of Turkey in world coal mining are examined. Besides, the coals are defined and classified; the types of coal produced in Turkey, coal reserves and important organizations engaged in production in the sector are explained. In Chapter 2, the importance of coal mining in the economy is determined and the place of this sector in the Turkish economy is examined under the headings“Coal Economy”,“Production Management and Technology”and“Production Costs”. Under these main headings, the section about the coal economy contained four sub-sections with four sub-titles as the macro and micro economic functions of coal and the coal supply and demand. In the section about production management and technology; the raw, unprocessed coal production methods, coal preparation technologies, product standarts and available capacities along with the utilization rates are again examined under four sub-titles. The section about production costs has been taken alone and examined. The subject of appraisals about the Turkish Coal Mining Sector has been considered in Chapter 3. In this Chapter, the dimensions of the coal mining sector in Turkey, the amount coal per capita and the distribution of coal according to its types are the subjects of examination under sub-titles; the subject of state control in coalmining is examined under a seperate title.
