Özet
Bu çalışma, Dilthey ve Ortega y Gasset felsefesinde insan sorununu ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda Dilthey, insanı açıklamada kendisinden önceki insan anlayışlarının yetersizliğine dikkat çeker. O, insanın tarihsel ve psikolojik olarak da incelenilmesi gerektiğini öne sürmektedir. Dilthey, insan anlayışını temellendirirken özellikle tin bilimleri ve doğa bilimleri ayrımından hareket ederek yeni bir anlayış geliştirme çabası içerisindedir. Aynı zamanda insanın tarih içerisinde bir anlam kazandığını ve insan doğasının totalitesinin tarihte verili olduğunu belirtmektedir. Ortega y Gasset ise insanı açıklamada, önemli oranda Dilthey'dan etkilenmiştir. Ortega için de bugüne kadar yapılan insana dair açıklamalar yeterli değildir. Böylece Ortega'da insanı açıklarken onun tarihinden yola çıkılması gerektiği görüşündedir. Nitekim Ortega, insanın doğası yoktur, onun tarihi vardır anlayışından hareket ederek insana bir anlam yükleme çabası içerisindedir.

This study aims to reveal the human problem in the philosophy of Dilthey and Ortega y Gasset. In this context, Dilthey draws attention to the inadequacy of previous human understandings in explaining human. He argues that human beings should also be studied historically and psychologically. Dilthey, while grounding the understanding of human, is in an effort to develop a new understanding, especially by moving from the distinction between spiritual sciences and natural sciences. At the same time, he states that man gains a meaning in history and the totality of human nature is given in history. Ortega y Gasset, on the other hand, was significantly influenced by Dilthey in explaining the human being. For Ortega, the explanations about human being made so far are not enough. Thus, Ortega is of the opinion that it is necessary to start from his history while explaining the human being. As a matter of fact, Ortega is in an effort to give a meaning to human beings, based on the understanding that man does not have a nature, he has a history.
