Özet
ÖZET Yapılan çalışma, Osmanlı Devleti'nde Yemen'in fethinden 1876 yılına kadar olan dönem zarfındaki gelişmeleri ortaya koymayı amaçlamıştır. Üzerinde çalışılan dönemdeki bölge üzerinde meydana gelen olaylar, gelişmeler üzerinde durulmuştur. Osmanlı Devleti'nde Yemen'in durumu, Yemen isyanları ve isyanlar sonucunda Osmanlı Devleti'nin aldığı tedbirler ve devlet politikası genel hatlarıyla işlenmiştir. Konu ile ilgili biyografi, kaynak ve arşiv belgeleri birlikte incelenmiş ve elde edilen sonuçlar düzenlenerek, uygun başlıklar altında araştırıcıların istifadesine sunulmuştur. Tez çalışmasında özetle; Yemen'in Osmanlı Devleti için jeo-politik önemi, katılma safhaları, Vehhabi isyanının Yemen'e tesiri ve Osmanlı Devleti'nin bastırması, Abdülaziz devri isyanı ve isyanda devletin temel politikası ve alınan tedbirler işlenmiştir. vııı

SUMMARY The emphasis in this work is on a period that is covering developments and events in the years of sovereignty of ottoman Empire in Yemen from the conquest of it by the ottomans to 1876. How was the position of the ottomans in Yemen, how revolts manifested themselves, how were the ottomans attempts at problem solving, and what was the political view of the ottoman state were described in ageneral ground. In the course of enquiry, archives, bibliographies and sources were studied together, and as a result of this study, outcomes under appropriate titles have been presented to the use of researcher. The jeopolitical importance of Yemen for the ottoman state, the phases of the conquest of Yemen, the impact of wahhabions rebels on the ottoman territory in Yemen, the revolts during the reign of Abdülaziz, and the basic policy of the state and meabures taken by the state against rebellions have constituted the summary of this thesis.
