This qualitative research study revealed to explore the convenience of cultural hybridity concept in describing different cultural contexts and cases. To achieve this goal, a focus group study was designed to examine Turkish youth's interpretations on the global and the local messages through a series of hybrid media products. Besides, the influence of hybridity phenomenon on message design of media outputs was discussed and critiqued throughout the dissertation. Finally, it was sought whether there is any clear benchmark to distinguish local message from global ones by pursuing common acceptances of society. Thematic analysis obtained from focus group studies shows that Turkish young have lost themselves in a simulation world created by globally hybrid forces and messages. Moreover, they confused about finding correct choices to be a rational consumers. However, further observations have showed that this simulation universe also enables to local individuals to create free zones in which they feel confident to share opportunities with global mind without excluding some local sensitiveness. Future researches should enlarge this complex relationship with various cases and then the hybridity concept can prove its maturity and consistency.
