Özet
İstihdam ve işsizlik gerek bireysel gerek toplumsal ve gerekse küresel boyutlarda ciddi önem arz eden konulardır. İlk çağlarda sorun teşkil etmese de gelişen dünya düzeni ile ortaya çıkan istihdam ve işsizlik sorunu dünyada ve ülkemizde her geçen gün büyümektedir. Gelişen teknoloji ile insana olan ihtiyaç azaldıkça bu konuların önemi de artmaktadır. Bireyin ihtiyaçlarını karşılaması için çalışması gereken bir ekonomik düzende, gelişen teknoloji ile insan gücünü saf dışı bırakan bu yeni ekonominin yarattığı zıtlık nedeniyle insanlar işsiz kalmakta ve maddi- manevi ağır darbeler almaktadırlar. Artan nüfus ve yetersiz iş alanlarının yanı sıra son dönemde tüm dünya ekonomilerine ağır darbe vuran Covid–19 etkisi nedeniyle işgücü ve istihdamın önemi daha da öne çıkmıştır. Çalışmamızda ülkemizin işgücü piyasası genel bir bakışla ele alınmış olup Siirt İli özelinde bir alan araştırması ile işgücü piyasası değerlendirilmiştir. İşgücünün, istihdamın, işsizliğin tanımı yapılarak işgücü piyasasının etkilerine değinilmiştir.

Employment and unemployment are issues of serious importance both in individual, social and global dimensions. Although it is not a problem in the early ages, the problem of employment and unemployment arising with the developing world order is growing day by day in the world and in our country. As the need for human beings decreases with the developing technology, the importance of these issues increases. In an economic order that must work to meet the needs of the individual, people are unemployed and are hit hard financially and spiritually due to the contrast created by this new economy, which eliminates developing technology and manpower. The importance of labor and employment has become more prominent due to the covid-19 effect, which has hit all the world economies hard recently, as well as the growing population and inadequate jobs. In our study, the labor market of our country was discussed with an overview and the labor market was evaluated with an area survey in Siirt Province. The effects of the labor market are mentioned by de-defined labor, employment and unemployment.
