Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, 6. Sınıf kesirler konusunun GeoGebra matematik yazılımı ile öğretiminin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına ve matematiğe yönelik tutumlarına etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma 2020- 2021 eğitim öğretim yılında Bursa ilindeki bir devlet okulunda öğrenim gören 26'sı deney 26'sı kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 52 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Öğrenciler sınıflara seçkisiz olarak atanmış ve daha sonra seçkisiz olarak deney ve kontrol grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Dersler deney grubunda GeoGebra destekli matematik öğretimi ile kontrol grubunda ise mevcut matematik öğretimine uygun olarak işlenmiştir. Araştırma toplam 20 ders saati sürmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri kesirler konusu akademik başarı testi ve matematiğe yönelik tutum ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler uygun istatistik yöntemler kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak her iki grupta da uygulanan öğretim yöntemleri öğrenci başarısını artırmada etkili bulunmuştur. Bunun yanında öğrenci başarılarını artırmada deney grubuna uygulanan yöntemin kontrol grubuna uygulanan yöntemden daha etkili olduğu bulunmuştur. Deney grubunun matematiğe yönelik tutumlarında anlamlı bir değişikliğe rastlanmamıştır. Bu araştırmanın sonucuna göre GeoGebra destekli matematik öğretiminin 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin kesirler konusundaki akademik başarılarını artırmada etkili olduğu söylenebilir.

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of teaching 6th grade fractions with GeoGebra mathematics software on students' academic achievement and attitudes towards mathematics. The research was carried out with a total of 52 students, 26 of whom were in the experimental group and 26 in the control group, studying at a public school in the province of Bursa in the 2020-2021 academic year. Students were randomly assigned to the classes and then randomly selected as the experimental and control groups. The lessons were taught in accordance with GeoGebra supported mathematics teaching in the experimental group and in accordance with the existing mathematics teaching in the control group. The research lasted a total of 20 lesson hours. The data of the study were collected by using the academic achievement test on the subject of fractions and the attitude scale towards mathematics. The collected data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. As a result, the teaching methods applied in both groups were found to be effective in increasing student achievement. In addition, it was found that the method applied to the experimental group was more effective than the method applied to the control group in increasing student achievement. No significant change was found in the experimental group's attitudes towards mathematics. According to the results of this research, it can be said that GeoGebra supported mathematics teaching is effective in increasing the academic success of 6th grade students in fractions.
