Özet

oz Anabolik steroidler, androjenik etkinliğe oranla daha fazla anabolik etkinliğe sahip olan ilaçlardır. Anabolik steroid uygulanan erkeklerde, normal kan hormon düzeyinin, test islerden testosteron salgısının azaltılmasıyla salgılanması testis atrofisi gelişmesine neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışma doping amacıyla kullanılan anabolik steroidlerin testis ince yapısı üzerine etkilerinin, ışık ve elektron mikroskobik düzeyde değerlendirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmamızda 40 ergin erkek Mus musculus (var. Swiss albino) fare kullanıldı. Kontrol grubuna 0.03 ml/hafta susam yağı deney I grubuna 0.02 ml/hafta ve deney II grubuna 0.04 ml/hafta metanolon enantat içeren primobolan depot (anabolik steroid) intramüsküler olarak 8 hafta süreyle enjekte edildi. Sekiz hafta sonra farelerin testislerinden alınan biyopsiler ışık ve elektron mikroskobunda incelendi. Farelerin uygulama öncesi ve sonrası vücut ağırlıkları, uygulama sonrası testis ağırlıkları ve hacimleri, ayrıca musculus levator ani, prostat ve vesiculo seminalis ağırlıkları ölçüldü. Deney gruplarında ışık mikroskobunda seminiferöz epitelin düzensizleştiği ve parçalandığı, elektron mikroskobunda ise bazal laminalarm düzensizleştiği saptandı. Tüm gruplarda testislerin ölçü ve ağırlıklarında doza bağımlı azalma gözlendi. Sonuç olarak anabolik steroidlerin bilinçsizce kullanımının erkekte infertiliteye neden olabileceği düşünülmektedir. ABSTRACT Anabolic steroids, have more anabolic effect then its androgenic effect. Testicular testosterone secretion is diminished in order to maintain normal hormonol blood level in anabolic steroid administrated men, resulting in testicular atrophy. The aim of the present study was to evaluate effects of the anabolic steroids which is used for doping on the thin structures of testes by using light and electron microscopy. Fourty adult male mice were used in this study. The mice divided into three groups. Sesame oil (0.03 ml /week) was injected in the control group. Primobolan depot (anabolic steroid) which consists of metanolon enantat was administrated 0.02 ml/week in the experimental group I or 0.04 ml/week in experimental group II by intramuscular route for 8 weeks. At the end of the 8 weeks, the biopsies which were taken from the mouse testes were examined in the light and electron microscopy. Weight of the mice before and after injection, and weight and volume of the testes, and weight of musculus levator ani and weight of the prostate and vesiculo seminalis at the end of the experiment were measured. In the exprimental group, the seminiferous epithel were irregular and fragmented in the light microscopy and the basal lamina was irregular in the electron microscopy. In all groups, decreased testicular weight in a dose dependent manner was observed. In Conclusion, the results suggest that the unconscious usage of anabolic steroids may cause in infertility complication in man.
