Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı spor bilimcilerinin infertiliteye yönelik tutumlarının belirlenmesidir. Araştırma ölçek geliştirme ve nicel tarama yöntemlerinden kesitsel tanımlayıcı tiptedir. Araştırmanın evrenini Türkiye'deki spor bilimleri ile ilgili bölümlerin öğrencileri ve mezunları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, 617 spor bilimci (371 öğrenci, 246 mezun) oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Spor Bilimcilerinin İnfertiliteye Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (SBİYTÖ) ile toplanmıştır. 24 madde ve 3 alt boyuttan oluşan SBİYTÖ'nün geçerlilik katsayısı 0,861 ve genel güvenirlik katsayısı ise 0,814 olarak bulunmuştur. Spor bilimcilerin yaş ortalaması 26,69 olup, %53,3'ü erkektir. Spor bilimcilerin %24,1'i çevrelerinde infertil bir birey olduğunu ifade etmişlerdir. Ayrıca katılımcıların %92,4'ü spor bilimleri ile ilgili bölümlerde okumaktan memnun olduklarını ifade etmişlerdir. SBİYTÖ'ye verilen cevaplar neticesinde yapılan istatistiksel analizlerde, spor bilimcilerin infertiliteye yönelik tutumları, yaş grupları, medeni duruma ve mezuniyet durumuna göre incelendiğinde gruplar arasında toplam puan ve alt boyut puanlarında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir (P<0,05). Ayrıca doğup büyüdükleri coğrafi bölge ve ilgilendikleri spor türüne göre incelendiğinde alt boyutlar açısından anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir (P<0,05). Yakın çevrelerinde infertil birey tanıma durumları ve cinsiyetlerine göre incelendiğinde ise gruplar arasında toplam puan ve alt boyut puanlarında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmemiştir (P>0,05). Sonuç olarak, spor bilimcilerin infertiliteye yönelik tutumlarında ölçek alt ve toplam puanlarında anlamlı farklar olduğu görülmüştür. Spor bilimcilerin infertiliteye yönelik ortalama tutum puanları orta düzeydedir (x̄=72,75).

The aim of this research is to determine the attitudes of sports scientists towards infertility. The research is of the cross-sectional descriptive type, one of the scale development and quantitative survey methods. The universe of the research consists of students and graduates of sports sciences departments in Turkey. The sample of the study consisted of 617 sports scientists (371 students, 246 graduates). The data of the study were collected with the Personal Information Form and the Attitude Scale of Sports Scientists Towards Infertility (SBIYTS) developed by the researcher. Consisting of 24 items and 3 sub-dimensions, the validity coefficient of the SBIAS was 0.861 and the general reliability coefficient was 0.814. The average age of sports scientists is 26.69 and 53.3% of them are male. 24.1% of sports scientists stated that there is an infertile individual in their environment. In addition, 92.4% of the participants stated that they were satisfied with studying in departments related to sports sciences. In the statistical analyzes made as a result of the answers given to the SBIYTS, when the attitudes of sports scientists towards infertility were examined according to age groups, marital status and graduation status, significant differences were found between the groups in total score and sub-dimension scores (P<0.05). In addition, when they were examined according to the geographical region they were born and raised in and the type of sport they were interested in, significant differences were found in terms of sub-dimensions (P<0.05). When examining infertile individuals in their close circles according to their recognition status and gender, no significant difference was found between the groups in total score and sub-dimension scores (P>0.05). As a result, it was observed that there were significant differences in the subscale and total scores of the sports scientists' attitudes towards infertility. The mean attitude scores of sports scientists towards infertility are moderate (x̄=72.75).
