Özet
Türkiye'de dünyayı etkileyen ve tarih sayfalarına geçen iki büyük mücadele örneğinden biri Kurtuluş Savaşı diğeri batıdan doğuya tüm kırsalı kapsayan, klasik pedagoji ilkelerini kırarak çok yönlü iş eğitimi programıyla yetiştikleri topraklara öğretmen, tarımcı, sağlıkçı olarak dönen, toplumun beklentilerine yönelik tasarlanan, ulusal kalkınma ve eğitim seferberliği kabul edilerek UNESCO'nun gelişmekte olan ülkelere örnek model olarak gösterdiği Köy Enstitüleri projesidir. Köy Enstitülerinde, hayata geçirilen ve toplumu dönüştürmek amacıyla kurgulanan toplum sağlığı eğitim modelinin Tıp tarihi perspektifiyle ortaya çıkış nedenlerini, nasıl dönüştürüldüğünü ve neden sonlandırıldığını araştırmak, günümüz için nasıl yol gösterici olabileceğine bakmak ve bu konuları ilgili kişilerin dikkatini çekerek tartışmaya açmak çalışmanın temel amaçları olarak belirlenmiştir. Köy Enstitüleri sağlık kolları ile ilgili çalışmaların kısıtlı olması da ele alındığında literatürdeki boşluğu doldurmayı amaçlamak tıp tarihi açısından değerli görülmüştür. Belirlenen amaçlara yönelik geriye dönük nitelikteki tıp tarihi araştırmasında yöntem olarak sağlık mezunlarının köylerde yaptığı faaliyetler ile ilgili yayımlanan rapor, tutanak, fotoğraf, tez, kitap gibi her türlü ilgili belgenin incelenerek, Köy Enstitüleri adına kurulan derneklerinin yönlendireceği kaynak kişilerle görüşme planlanarak veriler toplanmış, Köy Enstitülerinin verdiği sağlık eğitiminin ayrıntılarının ortaya çıkarılması sağlanmıştır. Dünyada ilk kez üretim amaçlı iş ilkesiyle Türkiye'de kurulan ve varlığını birçok ülkeye duyurmuş olan Köy Enstitülerinde verilen çevre sağlığı, hijyen, sağlığı koruma, aşılama gibi halk sağlığı hizmetlerine yönelik uygulamalar ile topluma sundukları sağlık eğitiminde gösterdikleri başarıları incelemek, toplum sağlığı eğitim modelinin ortaya çıkış nedenlerini, nasıl dönüştürüldüğünü ve neden sonlandırıldığını araştırmak, günümüzde uygulanan toplum sağlığı eğitimlerine yol gösterebilecek bir uygulama olabileceğinin düşünmek, konuyu tartışmaya açmak tez çalışmasının temel çerçevesini oluşturmuştur.

One of the two great examples of struggles that affected the world and went down in the pages of history in Turkey is the War of Independence, the other covering the whole countryside from west to east, breaking the classical pedagogical principles and returning to the lands where they grew up as teachers, agriculturalists, healthcare professionals, designed for the expectations of the society, national development and It is the Village Institutes project, which was accepted as an educational mobilization and shown by UNESCO as an exemplary model for developing countries. The main aims of the study are to investigate the reasons for the emergence of the community health education model, which was implemented in Village Institutes and designed to transform the society, from the perspective of the history of medicine, how it was transformed and why it was terminated, how it can be a guide for our day, and to open these issues for discussion by attracting the attention of the relevant people. Considering the limited number of studies on the health branches of Village Institutes, aiming to fill the gap in the literature has been deemed valuable in terms of medical history. As a method in the retrospective medical history research for the determined purposes, all kinds of related documents such as reports, minutes, photographs, thesis, and books published about the activities of health graduates in the villages were examined, and the data were collected by planning interviews with the resource people to be directed by the associations established on behalf of the Village Institutes. It was ensured that the details of the health education he gave were revealed. It is aimed to examine the practices for public health services such as environmental health, hygiene, health protection, vaccination given in Village Institutes, which were established in Turkey with the principle of production-oriented business for the first time in the world and announced their existence in many countries, and their success in the health education they offer to the society, to examine the emergence of the public health education model. researching the reasons, how it was transformed and why it was terminated, thinking that it can be an application that can guide the current public health education, and opening the subject for discussion constituted the basic framework of the thesis.
