Özet
Emmanuel Levinas, Batı felsefesinde ontolojinin egemenliğini bertaraf etmeye, etiğe öncelikle bir yer vermeye çalışır. Dolayısıyla Levinas etiği ilk felsefe olarak tasvir eder. Bu çalışmada Levinas'ın felsefesinde vurgu yaptığı etiğe, onun felsefesinde yer edinen kavramlar açıklanmaya çalışıldı. Zamanın, özgürlüğün ve adaletin başlangıcını Başkası ile yüz-yüze karşılaşmaya bağlar. Etiğin temelini oluşturan Başkası'na duyulan sorumluluk duygusudur. Levinas hiçbir zaman Ben ve Başka'dan oluşan yalıtılmış bir dünyadan bahsetmez. Ben'in Başkası'nın yüz'ünde Başkaları'nı görmesi adalet kavramını ortaya çıkarır. Sorumluluk Başkası ile başlar. Ben, Başkası karşısında diz çöker ve kendi özgürlüğünü Başkası'nın çağrısına feda eder. Bu özgürlük etiği olup zor bir özgürlüktür aynı zamanda. Bu araştırmada amacımız Levinas'ın kendinden önceki düşünürlerden farklı olarak özgürlüğü Ben'in var olduğu alandan alıp Başkası'nın yüz'ünde duyduğum sorumluluk temelinde ortaya koymada ne denli başarılı olduğunu göstermeye çalışmaktır.

Emmanuel Levinas tries to eliminate the dominance of ontology in Western philosophy and to give ethics a priority. Therefore, Levinas describes ethics as the first philosophy. In this study, the ethics that Levinas emphasized in his philosophy and the concepts that took place in his philosophy were tried to be explained. Emmanuel Levinas describes ethics as the first philosophy. He attributes the beginning of time, freedom, and justice to a face-to-face encounter with the Others. It is the sense of responsibility towards the Others that forms the basis of ethics. Levinas never speaks of an isolated world consisting of Me and the Other. The fact that“I”see“Others”on Someone else's face reveals the concept of freedom. Responsibility starts with Someone Else. I kneels in front of someone else and sacrifices his freedom to someone else's call. This is an ethic of freedom and a difficult freedom at the same time. In this research, our aim is to show how successful Levinas is, unlike the thinkers before him, in presenting freedom by taking it from the field where I exist and I feel in Someone else's face on the basis of the responsibility.
