Özet
Çalışma sahamız olan Hakkari ili, Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi'nin Hakkari Bölümü'nde yer alır. Hakkari ilini, doğal çevre koşullarını göz önünde bulundurarak, beşeri ve ekonomik coğrafya özellikleri bakımından incelediğimiz bu çalışma, esas olarak üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümde inceleme sahasının morfoloji, iklim, toprak, bitki örtüsü ve hidrografya gibi doğal özellikleri ele alınmıştır. Sahanın jeolojik süreçler boyunca maruz kaldığı epirojenez, orojenez ve buzullaşma olaylarının, mevcut topografik görünümü üzerindeki rolü ortaya konmuştur. İkinci bölümde, çalışma sahasının beşeri coğrafya özellikleri kapsamında yerleşme ve nüfus coğrafyası incelenmiştir. İlin tarihsel süreç içerisindeki gelişimi, dönemlere ayrılarak işlenmiş olup, kır ve şehir yerleşmeleri, mesken ve ekonomik özellikleriyle birlikte ele alınmıştır. Nüfus coğrafyası başlığı altında ilin kır ve şehir nüfusu özellikleri ve nüfus hareketlerine değinilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde sahanın ekonomik coğrafya özellikleri olan tarım, hayvancılık, ticaret, sanayi, ulaşım ve turizme yer verilmiştir. Bahsi geçen ekonomik sektörlerin gelişimini engelleyen veya geciktiren nedenler tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sonuç ve öneriler kısmında ise, çalışma sahasında araştırma konusuyla alakalı olarak tespit edilen çeşitli sorunların giderilmesine yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Our research area, is located in the Hakkari Section of the Eastern Anatolia Region. This study, in which we examine human and economic geography features of Hakkari province taking into account natural environmental conditions, consists of four chapters. In the first chapter of the study, natural features of the field such as morphology, climate, soil, vegetation, and hydrography are discussed. The role of epeirogenesis, orogenesis, and glaciation events that the research area exposed to during the geological processes revealed on its current topographic appearance. The elevation, altitude, roughness, and slope characteristics of the field, as well as climate, soil, hydrograph, and vegetation characteristics, are processed within the framework of cause-effect, distribution, and connection principles. In the second chapter, settlement, and population geography characteristics are examined within the scope of human geography characteristics of the research area. The development of the province in the historical process has been discussed by dividing it into periods. Rural and urban settlements of the research area are considered together with their housing and economic characteristics. Rural and urban population characteristics of the province were examined in detail together with the population movements. In the third chapter, within the scope of the economic geography features agriculture, given place to trade, characteristics of the industry, transportation, and tourism of the research area. The reasons that hinder or delay the development of the mentioned economic sectors, tried to identify. In the conclusion and recommendations section, suggestions were made to solve various problems identified in the area of study related to the subject of research.
